star this property answer text <p>The Chancellor announced in August and October 2016 that the Government will guarantee EU projects agreed before we leave the EU, to provide more certainty for UK organisations over the course of EU Exit. In July 2018, the Chief Secretary laid a Written Ministerial Statement (HCWS926) extending this guarantee to provide further stability for UK organisations in a ‘no-deal’ scenario.</p><p>The guarantee now covers all projects that would have been funded by the EU under the 2014-2020 programme period, including all European Regional Development Fund projects.</p><p>The Government recognises the importance of reassuring local areas on the future of local growth funding once we have left the European Union and we will consult widely on the design of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government understands the importance of local growth funding to places and people and is committed to creating the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to succeed European structural funds, providing vital investment in local economies, cutting out bureaucracy and levelling up those parts of the UK whose economies are furthest behind.</p><p>The 2019 Conservative Manifesto committed to targeting the UK Shared Prosperity Fund at the UK’s specific needs, at a minimum matching the size of European structural funds in each nation. This builds upon previous commitments to create a fund which tackles inequalities between communities by raising productivity, especially in those parts of the UK whose economies are furthest behind.</p><p>Final decisions on the design and operation of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund will need to be made following a cross-Government Spending Review.</p> more like this
