Homes England are rightly focused at ensuring more homes are built where the country needs them most, and therefore have no specific commitments regarding energy efficiency of existing stock.However, this Government is firmly committed to raising energy efficiency in existing homes and has launched a number of initiatives to tackle this issue. In particular the Clean Growth Strategy aims to ensure that as many homes as possible will be upgraded to an Energy Performance Certificate Band C by 2035, where practical, cost effective and affordable.
