unstar this property answer text <p>The Department for Business and Trade expects and supports UK businesses to reduce their risk and comply with sanctions. We have spoken with industry stakeholders, who confirmed the sector's commitment to compliance with all sanctions.</p><p>Non-compliance with sanctions is a serious offence. HMRC undertakes an investigation into credible allegations of trade sanctions offences. In the most serious cases, breaches may result in referral for consideration of criminal prosecution.</p><p>We continue to work to prevent Russia's efforts to circumvent sanctions and recently announced the creation of the Office of Trade Sanctions Implementation to strengthen the implementation and enforcement of trade sanctions, complementing HMRC's existing powers.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The UK takes its national security extremely seriously and has taken robust action to secure and protect its national security infrastructure.</p><p>Following Royal Assent of the Procurement Act on 26 October 2023 the Government committed to publishing a timeline for the removal of surveillance equipment supplied by companies subject to the National Intelligence Law of China from sensitive sites within six months.</p><p>To meet this commitment, the Cabinet Office has been working with departments to identify any such equipment on their sensitive sites, and will publish a timeline for when the removal process will be complete, by 26 April 2024.</p><p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is devolved and has operational independence. It is for the Northern Ireland Policing Board (NIPB) to monitor and provide oversight of PSNI performance.</p><p>The PSNI and the NIPB commissioned an independent review into the data breach and a report was published on 11 December 2023.</p><p>The Government’s focus following the data breaches of August 2023 was on providing specialist support and expertise to the PSNI in its handling of this issue. Officials in the Cabinet Office chaired regular operational meetings - initially daily - bringing together the PSNI, Government Departments and the Security Services, to ensure that their collective skills, including cyber-expertise, were brought to bear in supporting the PSNI.</p><p>The Government published on 14 December 2023 technical guidance relating to the approach to be taken by FOI practitioners across central government when a requestor asks for disclosure in a spreadsheet format.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The Department announced £12 million funding awarded through the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF). The IETF provides grant funding to existing industrial sites, helping industry to invest in more efficient technologies and reduce emissions by bringing down the costs and risks associated with investing in decarbonisation technologies. unstar this property answer text <p>Energy prices have fallen significantly compared to last winter, and the Government is continuing to support those most in need.</p><p> </p><p>Millions of vulnerable households are receiving up to £900 in further Cost of Living Payments, with an extra £150 to those on eligible disability benefits, in addition to established financial support available for low income and vulnerable households through the Winter Fuel Payment and the Warm Home Discount.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has announced an increase to the National Living Wage benefiting around 2.7 million workers, an increase to benefits of 6.7%, and tax cuts which will benefit around 27 million people.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The Government recognises that small businesses are keen to cut emissions and tackle climate change but require support to do so. Business support for net zero is mostly devolved to the Devolved Administrations and Local Authorities. However, the Government, in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority, is currently piloting a Business Energy Advice Service offering small and medium-sized enterprises free advice and funding for energy and emissions savings measures. The Government also recently launched Phase 3 of the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) which provides grant funding towards the cost of projects that reduce industrial energy consumption and carbon emissions through investment in energy efficiency and low carbon technologies.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Engagement continues with trade associations and businesses on the need for further progress, beyond what has already been made, to reduce the sugar content of iced coffee products.</p><p>As these products are excluded from the Soft Drinks Industry Levy (SDIL), guidelines to reduce the sugar content of milk based drinks, including iced coffee products, by 20% by 2021 form part of the voluntary sugar reduction programme. Progress to date shows that sugar and calories in pre-packed milk based drinks sold through retail have reduced by 29.7% and 20%, respectively. Pre-packed milk substitute drinks have reduced sugar and calories by 6.9% and 8%, respectively.</p><p>A further report detailing progress on sugar reductions in these products, between 2017 and 2021, is due in 2024. This data will enable HM Treasury to consider whether to take these drinks into the levy, which it committed to when the SDIL came in to force in 2018.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The National Health Service reformed dental contracts in 2022 which will help to improve access for patients across England while providing fairer remuneration for dentists. We are already investing £3 billion a year into dentistry and are working hard to improve access to care. We know that we must go further and will publish a Dentistry Recovery Plan shortly.</p><p>From 1 April 2023, the commissioning responsibility for commissioning primary care dentistry to meet the needs of the local population was delegated to integrated care boards (ICBs) across England. ICBs became responsible for having local processes in place to involve patient groups, and for undertaking oral health needs assessments, to identify areas of need and determine the priorities for investment.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>There is information available from NHS Choices to support the identification of symptoms related to anaemia, which advises individuals to seek general practitioner (GP) advice should they experience those symptoms.</p><p>GPs exercise their clinical judgement with support from relevant guidance to arrange appropriate tests and investigations that may lead to a diagnosis, such as blood tests to assess the full blood count, which may highlight indicators of anaemia. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence’s Clinical Knowledge Summaries website also provides guidance on testing and treatment of all types of anaemia.</p> more like this
