	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2019 answer text <p>This Government is committed to preventing mental illness and improving health outcomes for new parents and their children.</p><p>The NHS Long Term Plan commits to improving access to and the quality of perinatal mental health care for mothers, their partners and children with the ambition to increase access to perinatal mental health services to an additional 30,000 women by 2020/21, with a further 24,000 women to be able to access specialist perinatal mental health care by 2023/24.</p><p>From April 2019, new and expectant parents are able to access specialist perinatal mental health community services across England. Specialist care will also be available from preconception to 24 months after birth, which will provide an extra year of support (care is currently provided from preconception to 12 months after birth).</p><p>The potential for a six week post-natal maternal health check for all mothers that includes questions relating to mental health, is the subject of further work by NHS England and NHS Improvement to establish a clearer picture of current practice in the area. It will maintain open trade on the majority of UK imports, to support consumers and business supply chains, but retain necessary tariff protection for particular sectors of the UK economy. This would apply for up to 12 months while a full consultation, and review on a permanent approach, is undertaken.</p><p>As a responsible government we’ve been preparing to minimise any disruption in the event of no deal for over three years. This may include those which help control hospital-acquired infections.</p><p>The AAC has already had made significant progress towards getting the best innovations to patients quicker and at a better cost for the NHS.</p><p>Since 2018, NHS England has been supporting SecurAcath and Plus Sutures, products designed to reduce infection rates, on the Innovation and Technology Payment programme. SecurAcath is a device to secure catheters that reduces the infection risk for patients with a peripherally inserted central catheter and has benefited over 80,000 patients. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/07/2019 answer text <p>The UK is preparing to strengthen its trade ties with international partners, including China and India post EU-exit.</p><p> </p><p>In January 2018, the UK and China launched a Joint Trade and Investment Review to explore options to enhance their trade and investment relationship, without pre-judging outcomes. My Rt Hon. Friend the Secretary of State for International Trade visited China five times in 2018 to discuss our ambition for a strong trade partnership.</p><p> </p><p>The UK-India Joint Trade Review, announced during the Prime Minister’s visit to India in 2016, has helped us better understand the UK-India trade relationship. In April 2018, both Prime Ministers agreed to forge a new trade partnership, to take forward recommendations from the Review. This will be developed by Public Health England by 2020. This will accompany advice provided to children and young people through Public Health England’s Rise Above programme on dealing with difficult emotions and situations that can lead to problems such as stress, bullying and self-harm.</p><p> </p><p>We are aware of a rise in young people self-harming, which is why we included a new key area for action to address self-harming in the cross-Government National Suicide Prevention Strategy in 2017. The National Planning Policy Framework expects planning authorities to have specific policies to address the housing needs of older people and we have recently published new guidance to help councils implement these policies.</p><p>The Framework expects local planning authorities to use the Government’s standards for accessible and adaptable housing when preparing their plans, where this would address an identified need. It complements the Enterprise Investment Scheme, which offers tax reliefs to investors in high risk and growing companies. The Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme is intended to recognise the particular difficulties which very early stage companies face in attracting investment, by offering tax relief at a higher rate.</p><p>Tech Nation, which receives grant funding from DCMS, provides a range of resources to support the growth of digital businesses in the UK. A universal offer of support has been provided to all trusts, and NHS Improvement continues to provide a direct programme of support to trusts with the highest attrition rates in order to support improvements in retention.</p><p>Strategies include targeted support on areas such as flexible working, supporting new starters and older workers, and development and career planning. NHS Improvement and NHS Employers are releasing resources and case studies to disseminate best practice models.</p><p>The new contract for junior doctors (2016) enshrines safe working, high quality training and ensures fair pay for work done.</p><p>We are also committed to offering improved working lives, flexible training options, and rewarding careers and conditions. On 24 June, Health Education England published ‘Enhancing Junior Doctors’ Working Lives – annual progress report 2019’ and the work it has undertaken in this area. The programme includes a range of initiatives to help to retain doctors in the National Health Service, ensuring that the junior doctors who work so hard throughout their training feel supported at work. The tuition fee model means universities can offer more training places removing the cap that was in place under the previous centrally funded system. This analysis covers data from the first two years of culling in Areas 1 and 2 (Gloucestershire and Somerset). Cathedrals in England attract over 10 million visitors a year, the majority as tourists.</p><p>The Church supports the work of the Churches Visitor and Tourism Association on several initiatives that help the public learn more about their local churches:</p><ul><li>The<a href="https://www.explorechurches.org/" target="_blank"> Explore Churches</a> website run by the National Churches Trust provides a single online gateway for anyone wanting to visit churches, whether as a tourist or a pilgrim.</li><li>The <a href="https://facultyonline.churchofengland.org/churches" target="_blank">Church Heritage Record</a> provides geo-located data on every Church of England church, including information on the history of the building where it is available. Local congregations are encouraged to add details of their church to this and to <a href="https://www.achurchnearyou.com/" target="_blank">A Church Near You</a>, to help people planning visits.</li></ul><p>The Church of England also supports the Cathedrals Marketing and Communications Network to share best practice and coordinate national campaigns. The Britain Israel Research and Academic Exchange Partnership has supported medical collaboration over the last seven years, distributing 19 grants for joint research excellence totalling over £8 million. Our Embassy in Tel Aviv and the British Council manage the programme with private funding raised from a diverse coalition of non-Government organisations. In 2018 the British and Israeli Governments signed an agreement covering a two year £4 million bilateral programme to support business-to-business R&amp;D collaboration between Israeli and UK companies. Projects to receive funding will be announced later this month with a number of medical R&amp;D projects in contention.</p><p>The UK-Israel Tech Hub at our Embassy also helps to create tech and innovation partnerships across several sectors, including healthcare. One of their projects, the UK-Israel Dangoor Healthcare Initiative, aims to create a pipeline of digital innovation for the NHS. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/07/2019 answer text <p>To make sure that the UK is a world-leading digital economy that works for everyone, it is crucial that individuals have the digital skills they need for life and work, including for a career in the technology sector.</p><p>We have introduced computing as a statutory national curriculum subject at all four key stages and have introduced a new Computer Science GCSE and A Level. The content was developed with industry experts to better equip pupils with the knowledge and skills they need to become active creators of digital technology.</p><p>As part of the Industrial Strategy, the government has committed substantial spending on mathematics, digital and technical education to increase the take-up and better teaching of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects in schools. For example, in November 2018 the department launched the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE), backed by £84 million of new funding. The NCCE is run by a coalition of STEM Learning, the British Computing Society and Raspberry Pi, and supported by industry.</p><p>The NCCE is delivering a comprehensive programme of continuing professional development to improve the teaching of computing and drive up participation in computer science at GCSE and A level, particularly amongst girls. We expect that this will help equip these young people with the knowledge they need to pursue a career in the technology sector.</p><p>We are also improving careers advice in schools so that young people are aware of the high-quality options available for both technical and academic routes into digital careers, and that they have access to information about the variety of careers that digital technology pathways have to offer. STEM activities, including employer talks and workplace visits, are built into school career programmes. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/07/2019 answer text <p>DFID’s 2017 Economic Development Strategy commits to tackling gender discrimination and to delivering safer, more secure and higher-return work for women, building on the 2015 UK commitment made through our G7 membership to include gender objectives in at least 50% of agriculture and food security programmes. A 2018 review of DFID’s commercial agriculture programmes found that 31 of DFID’s 65 commercial agriculture programmes aimed to increase the returns received by women working in agriculture.</p><p> </p><p>The Department also assists the development of standards that help smallholder farmers reach a decent standard of living: for example, by providing £3.7 million in assistance to the International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labelling Alliance (ISEAL Alliance) which supports systems such as Fairtrade. DFID provides assistance to strengthen civil society in the UK and overseas through capacity building support and funding opportunities. This assistance is delivered through our centrally-managed programmes and our country programmes.</p><p> </p><p>Since 2016 we have provided funding through our centrally-managed programmes to more than 200 civil society organisations (CSOs) of diverse sizes and policy areas, delivering projects across at least 35 countries.
