	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/11/2015 answer text <p>In December 2013, Defra and DFID announced that £10m of funding would be made available over the period 2014/15 - 2017/18 to help developing countries tackle the illegal wildlife trade, to be administered by Defra. In March 2015, the Secretary of State for International Development announced that an additional £3m would be made available for this purpose.</p><br /><p>Most of this funding, which is Official Development Assistance, is distributed through the Illegal Wildlife Trade Challenge Fund.</p><br /><p>The first round of the UK Government’s Illegal Wildlife Trade Challenge Fund opened for applications in June 2014, and 19 successful projects were announced in December 2014. A list of these can be found at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/382616/iwt-challenge-fund-project-funding.pdf" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/382616/iwt-challenge-fund-project-funding.pdf</a></p><br /><p>To date, £5.3 million has been allocated to projects under the Illegal Wildlife Trade Challenge Fund. Projects submit claims against their allocations on a quarterly basis, and the total spent, as at the end of October, was £2.1 million.</p><br /><p>I announced the opening of a second round of applications in August. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/01/2016 answer text <p>The UK’s top priority for the bass negotiations at December Council was to agree measures to allow us to achieve sustainable fishing at EU level by 2018, and the package agreed puts us on the right path to do so.</p><br /><p>The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea’s advice for bass in 2016 reflected its standard advice format for achieving the sustainable fishing standard the following year. Local authorities are expected to pay particular attention to young people who are not in education, employment or training or whose current activity is not known. This includes agreeing how these young people can access intensive support, drawn from the range of education and training support services available locally.</p><p>It is for local authorities to determine what support is necessary to fulfil their statutory responsibilities and consider whether additional services are needed, including wto complement those available from young offender institutions. Local authorities should provide strategic leadership in their areas to support participation, agreeing ways of working with other partners such as voluntary and community sector organisations, young offender institutions and probation services.</p><p>The National Careers Service complements the support available to young people, offering information and advice on education, training and employment options. We are reshaping the service from October 2014 to respond to the changing needs of the economy with a focus on local leadership and providing inspiring careers advice for customers, including a new brokerage service to facilitate relationships between schools and employers.
