star this property answer text <p /> <p>Data on PIP average clearance times for both personal independence payment (PIP) new claims and disability living allowance (DLA) reassessment claims is in the data table 5A and 5B published alongside the latest PIP statistical release <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/personal-independence-payment-april-2013-to-april-2015" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/personal-independence-payment-april-2013-to-april-2015</a></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><p>Data on the average time between the claim decision and first payment is not readily available and could only be obtained at a disproportionate cost.</p><p> </p><p>Existing claimants of DLA claiming PIP can continue to receive their DLA throughout their claim to PIP, so long as they comply with all the processes. Additionally, all claimants are paid DLA for a further 28 days following the weekly payday immediately after the decision on their PIP claim is made. Successful claimants to PIP see no break in payment when they move from DLA to PIP, subject to other rules being satisfied, for example those relating to residency in a care home or hospital.</p>

star this property answer text <p /> <p>Experimental statistics on Employment Tribunal (ET) fees data taken from the administrative IT system built to process fee receipts and remission applications, were published for the first time on 12 March 2015, as an Annex to the Tribunal and Gender Recognition Statistics Quarterly, October to December 2014 publication. It is our intention to publish them on a quarterly basis from this point forward subject to further data quality work.</p><p> </p><p>Due to the experimental nature of the statistics, the publication stated that additional analyses will be carried out to assess their quality and that of the administrative system the data are extracted from. Information on protected characteristics is collected by this employment tribunal fee and remission IT system. Subject to the results of data cleansing and quality assurance work to assess its coverage, robustness and usefulness, figures on protected characteristics will be included in future publications in due course.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p /> <p>Figures are not available on the numbers of apprenticeships taken up with the same or different employer.</p><p> </p><p>Table 1 attached shows the number of apprenticeship starts by individuals aged 19-64 who were in receipt of a DWP benefit in the 6 months prior to starting their learning in the 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2012/13 academic years (August – July). Statistics are only available for these academic years.</p><p> </p><p>In 2012/13, 45,800 individuals started an apprenticeship who were previously in the receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance or in the Employment and Support Allowance Work Related Activity Group in the 6 months prior to starting their learning. This is an increase from 42,900 in 2011/12 and 33,500 in 2010/11.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p /> <p>Jobcentre Plus offers a wide range of support to help claimants back into work. This includes specialist provision delivered through the Flexible Support Fund aimed at supporting vulnerable claimants with a mental health condition, learning difficulties or other disabilities. The Work Programme, Improving Access to Psychological Therapies and the Troubled Families Programme are also tailored to support families with children and people with mental health conditions.</p><p> </p><p>The decision to temporarily halt a claimant’s benefit payment is always thoroughly considered and is not something we do lightly. It is a consequence of a claimant not meeting their requirements in return for receiving the benefit without good reason. The requirements and consequences are clearly communicated with them throughout their claim and set out in their Claimant Commitment. There are a number of steps in the decision making process to ensure that our decisions are correct.<em> </em></p><p> </p><p>After being notified of the decision, claimants can apply for hardship payments<em>.</em> Vulnerable claimants can apply for hardship immediately and the majority of claims are approved.</p>
