star this property answer text <p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Great Repeal Bill will remove from the statute book the European Communities Act. As we repeal the European Communities Act, we will convert the body of existing EU law into British law. When the Great Repeal Bill is given Royal Assent, Parliament will be free – subject to international agreements and treaties with other countries and the EU on matters such as trade – to amend, repeal and improve any law it chooses. The Government will engage with business and other stakeholders for their views as part of this process.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>As our future relationship with the EU becomes more clear there will be an opportunity to examine whether certain aspects of company law are still appropriate and cost effective. Consequently we intend to keep the effect and purpose of company non-financial reporting requirements under review, including the requirements of the Companies, Partnerships and Groups (Accounts and Non-Financial Reporting) Regulations 2016.</p><p>The UK’s company reporting regime is well regarded. We would expect that any review of this legislation would consider the possibility of burden reductions alongside the need to maintain the UK’s reputation as a hub of global transparency.</p> more like this

Last month he published specific guidance to estate agents underlining their obligations under the Ombudsman’s Code of Practice which is available at:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><a href="http://www.tpos.co.uk/members_index.htm" target="_blank">http://www.tpos.co.uk/members_index.htm</a></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>These obligations include requirements for transparency of information, avoidance of conflicts of interest and fairness to ensure both buyer and seller have the information necessary at the earliest point possible to make the right decisions. Failure to adhere to the Code risks agents being removed from the redress scheme which would result in an estate agent not being legally able to operate.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government has announced a support package, worth up to £80m, to support workers affected by SSI’s closure and invest in the future of the Tees Valley economy. This will include support for local businesses and the supply chain working closely with the Government appointed local taskforce on how best to target money and resources.</p><br /><p>In addition, HMRC has a track record of helping individuals and business which are experiencing a genuine short term difficulty in paying their tax liabilities. Where appropriate HMRC will agree a payment arrangement to allow the customer some breathing space to get their tax affairs back up to date. That is why the Government has announced a package, worth up to £80m, to support the individuals affected and invest in the future of the Tees Valley economy.</p><br /><p>We are working with the local Task Force that Government established to understand the impacts of SSI’s closure, including on its supply chain and the Tees Valley economy, and develop tailored proposals to mitigate this.</p><br /><p>For example, a specific supply chain event has been organised by the Teesside Engineering Network (TEN) is being held on Friday 23<sup>rd</sup> October at Redcar and Cleveland Leisure and Community Heart.</p><br /><p><strong></strong></p> more like this
