star this property answer text <p>The UK is committed to ensuring the safety of shipping in the Red Sea and protecting international trade routes, as shown by our support for Operation Prosperity Guardian.</p><p> </p><p>The Department (alongside other government departments who are leading the overall response to the Red Sea crisis) is closely monitoring the situation, working with key stakeholders and businesses to identify and mitigate supply chain issues. On 17 January the Department published the UK’s first ever Critical Import and Supply Chains Strategy. This will help UK businesses, working in partnership with Government, build secure and reliable supply chains vital to the UK economy, national security, and the delivery of essential services.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Our already strong trade and investment relationship with the whole of Australia has been further strengthened by the Free Trade Agreement.</p><p> </p><p>The Government also enjoys a strong relationship with South Australia, which includes a UK-South Australia MOU covering cooperation on trade and investment. There is regular engagement led by UK Ministers, the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy and our High Commissioner. This includes trade missions covering space, defence and technology.</p><p> </p><p>The PM’s Trade Envoy to Australia most recently met with the Agent General for South Australia to London in June 2023. star this property answer text <p>The United Kingdom is committed to building on our strong trading links, underpinned by our ambitious Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed in July 2021 with Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein covering goods and services. My Hon. Friend the Minister of State (Nusrat Ghani) met her Norwegian counterpart in February 2023, and my Rt. Hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Business and Trade met with the Swiss Federal Councillor in November 2022, where the United Kingdom and Switzerland expressed an ambition to launch negotiations in 2023 on an enhanced FTA. Trade between the UK and Guatemala increased by 6% between 2021 and 2022. The agreement includes annual committees that allow us to address market access issues.
