NHS Digital publishes data on the overall growth in the general practice workforce. However, it is not possible to use this publication to identify doctors or other general practice staff that are new. Therefore the total number of full-time-equivalent doctors in general practice has been provided for each of the last five years in the attached table. Romford constituency does not align to a clinical commissioning group (CCG).</p><p>Data covering the number of doctors working in Havering CCG, which included the town of Romford, in each year since 2015 has been provided in the attached table. General practitioner (GP) locums are excluded as improvements have been made to GP locum recording methodology and figures are not comparable across the time series. 	question text	To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the potential effect on household finances of the new requirement to wear personal protective equipment in public spaces.

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/08/2020 answer text <p>The Government’s guidance encourages people to make their own face covering at home, using readily available textiles that can be washed, and reused after every use. Guidance on how to make and wear face coverings is available on GOV.UK. In addition, the Government is running a major proactive communications campaign on face coverings to alert the public where they are now required to wear face coverings and educate the public on how to correctly wear one.</p><p> </p><p>Face coverings are not classified as personal protective equipment which is used in a limited number of settings to protect wearers against hazards and risks, such as surgical masks or respirators used in medical and industrial settings. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/08/2020 answer text <p>The personal protective equipment (PPE) guidance published online has indicated that fluid-resistant (Type IIR) surgical masks (FRSM), and eye protection can be subject to single sessional use. A single session refers to a period of time where a health and social care worker is undertaking duties in a specific clinical care setting or exposure environment. A session ends when the health and social care worker leaves the clinical care setting or exposure environment. Once the PPE has been removed it should be disposed of safely. The duration of a single session will vary depending on the clinical activity being undertaken.</p><p>Under this, disposable, single-use, eye and face protection is to be discarded as healthcare (clinical) waste.
