star this property answer text <p>UK-Med is working with the Department for International Development (DFID), Department of Health and International NGOs to recruit NHS volunteers through its International Emergency Medical Register (UKIEMR) to work in a number of DFID-funded Ebola Treatment Centres in Sierra Leone.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>To date, UK-Med has deployed 153 NHS volunteers including 3 NHS volunteers from Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>I pay tribute to the bravery and professionalism of the fantastic NHS workers from Plymouth who are helping to defeat Ebola, some of whom I have been lucky enough to meet in Sierra Leone. Their hard work has saved countless lives.</p><p> </p> more like this

Of these, 109 were undertaking roles based in Plymouth prior to their deployment. star this property answer text <p>Washing machines placed on the market on or after the 8 December 2016 must comply with the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and before that date with the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 1994. As these regulations require manufacturers to ensure that washing machines they place on the market are safe, this means any filter used in the product must also be safe. There are no plans to review these requirements.</p><p> </p><p>Manufacturers can create a presumption of compliance with the legislation by conforming to relevant Harmonised European safety standards.</p><p> </p><p>The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is responsible for environmental protection policy.</p> more like this

Member will be aware, although ship building in Devonport has ceased, the dockyard plays a leading role in UK naval ship repair, maintenance and support.</p><p> </p><p>The Government published Sir John Parker's independent report to inform the National Shipbuilding Strategy in full on 29 November. It is important that the Government gives Sir John's work the full consideration that it deserves. I have asked Ministry of Defence officials, working with others across Government, to examine the report and recommendations, and to discuss them with Industry. Sir John has set Industry the challenge to deliver higher productivity and shorter build cycle times, and it will be for Industry to consider the optimum locations to base their shipbuilding work.</p><p> </p><p>The Government's response in spring 2017, which will be the National Shipbuilding Strategy, will detail how we are dealing with all of Sir John's recommendations.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this
