	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/05/2024 answer text <p>The Government has supported the uptake of low carbon fuels including biodiesel for 15 years through its Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) scheme. The RTFO sets targets for the supply of low carbon fuels and sustainability criteria, which these fuels must meet. Targets under the RTFO have increased year on year since 2018, providing a market for biodiesel producers.</p><p>In support of UK exports, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) offers services to advise, support and promote British businesses to grow and export. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/10/2022 answer text <p>In January 2021, the government legislated to bring all pre-paid funeral plan providers and intermediaries within the regulatory remit of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) from 29 July 2022. This has ensured that 1.6 million funeral plan customers are, for the first time, protected by compulsory and robust regulation as they seek to put their affairs in order.</p><p> </p><p>Safe Hands Plans went into administration in March 2022. The government understands that this will be very concerning for customers of Safe Hands.</p><p> </p><p>While the detailed investigation being carried out by the administrators is ongoing, the government continues to work closely with the FCA to monitor the implementation of regulation in this sector.</p><p> </p><p>The government has been supportive of steps taken by the sector to provide assistance to Safe Hands customers. Dignity and Co-op – two of the largest providers in the country – have recently offered Safe Hands’ customers new funeral plans at a substantially discounted price. This would ensure that UK entities’ right to participate in the Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS) would be unaffected by the UK’s withdrawal from the EU until the end of 2020: the WA envisages that UK participants will be eligible to bid for RFCS funding until that date.</p><p> </p><p>In the event the UK leaves the EU without an overall withdrawal agreement, the Government will guarantee the payment of awards for UK organisations which successfully bid directly to EU programmes, including RFCS, until the end of 2020, for the whole lifetime of projects agreed.</p><p> </p><p>Beyond 2020, the UK government is considering options for supporting R&amp;D in steel and will continue to work with the sector, unions and Devolved Administrations to develop a long-term viable solution for the UK steel industry.</p><p> </p><p>The Government will decide on science and innovation expenditure, including on R&amp;D for steel, in the next Spending Review.
