The UK remains the top destination in Europe, and third in the world for foreign direct investment.  By the end of 2017, UK inward FDI stock levels reached <strong>£1,337bn</strong>, a record for the UK.</p><p> </p><p>In addition to publishing annual analysis of DIT’s FDI performance as Official Statistics, we recently published one of the most comprehensive analyses of the economic impact of FDI in the world, highlighting the benefits of FDI to the UK.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Police forces do not routinely have access to government data on benefit payments. If benefit data is required in order to assist with locating wanted <br>persons, it can be requested from the appropriate government department. Each request is carefully considered on a case-by-case basis to ensure compliance <br>with the relevant legislation, including the Data Protection Act 1998.<br><br>There is a memorandum of understanding between the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) for <br>disclosures that determine how the DWP provides data. All requests are managed through a central disclosure unit on a case-by case-basis. ACPO do not have <br>direct access to the data.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Where clear and credible documentary evidence of age is not available, criteria including physical appearance and demeanour are used as part of the interview process to assess whether a person is under 18. This can be followed where necessary by a local authority assessment, in line with case law and approved by two social workers. In addition, the person may submit a report from a dental consultant on a voluntary basis. Records are not kept centrally on the number of reports from dental consultants submitted by asylum seekers.</p> more like this

The local authority will arrange for the child’s health to be assessed and for a health plan to be drawn up. This will include dental care.
