Officials have also met Chief of Defence Staff General Chiwenga.

These dramatic political events were clearly triggered by a military intervention. But the most important thing now is that Zimbabweans are able to exercise their constitutional right to elect a civilian government. This can only happen through free and fair elections. A re-establishment of a civilian-led government with a clear separation between the party and the state must be a priority. The UK has made this clear to the Government of Zimbabwe.

more like this

star this property answer text
It is the responsibility of local authorities to decide how to allocate funding for youth services according to local need, through the existing statutory duty (Education Act 2006, Section 507B). Government launched the Delivering Differently for Young People Programme to offer practical support to local authorities in exploring innovative and sustainable models for delivering youth services. Government continues to support the Centre for Youth Impact to work with youth organisations to undertake research to measure impact and demonstrate value to funders and commissioners. We are also committed to expanding National Citizen Service, which many youth sector organisations help to deliver. Government is taking new steps to encourage and enable social action. This includes a further £15m investment in the next phase of the Centre for Social Action. We want social action to become a lifelong habit.
more like this

The Department and its assessment providers do not pay travel costs in advance and we have no plans to change the current policy which is consistent with other areas of Government such as the NHS Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme.

All claimants who are required to attend an assessment are advised in their appointment letter to contact the relevant provider if they have any difficulty in attending the assessment. Where such situations arise, the Department expects the assessment providers to explore all possible options to ensure that an assessment can be conducted.
