star this property answer text <p>Visa nationals whose leave expired after the 24 January and who cannot leave the country because of travel restrictions or self-isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be able to extend their visa.</p><p>A dedicated COVID-19 immigration team has been set up within UKVI to make the process as straightforward as possible. Anyone in this situation just needs to contact this team, via the following email address, <a href="mailto:CIH@homeoffice.gov.uk" target="_blank">CIH@homeoffice.gov.uk</a>, to let them know their visa has expired and they will be issued with an extension.</p><p>This will last until 31 May, but will be kept under regular review in case further extensions are needed.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The latest published information on EU Settlement Scheme applications received can be found on the Home Office’s ‘EU Settlement Scheme statistics’ web page available at:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/eu-settlement-scheme-statistics" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/eu-settlement-scheme-statistics</a></p><p>The total number of applications received up to 31 January 2021 was 5.06 million (5,060,600).</p><p>The published figures refer specifically to applications made to the EU Settlement Scheme and cannot be directly compared with estimates of the resident population of EU/EEA nationals in the UK.</p><p>The published figures include non-EEA family members, Irish nationals, and eligible EEA citizens not resident in the UK, none of whom are usually included in estimates of the resident EU population.</p><p>Furthermore, the population estimates do not take account of people’s migration intentions and will include people who have come to the UK for a range of purposes, including some who have no intention to settle permanently in the UK</p>
