star this property answer text <p>Ensuring that the UK has secure, reliable and low carbon supplies of energy are key priorities for the Government. We are investing in new power generation technologies that are diversifying our electricity generation and reducing carbon emissions while ensuring security of supply.</p><p> </p><p>Since 2010, supported by our investment of more than £52bn, renewable capacity has quadrupled, while the UK has had the highest rate of decarbonisation of any G20 country in 2016[i].
