star this property answer text <p>DWP offers a Flexible Working Hours (FWH) policy which allows employees to accrue additional hours worked as a flexi credit that can then be taken as time off in lieu.</p><p> </p><p>The FWH policy is managed locally and DWP does not hold central records of how much time off in lieu has been taken by employees, therefore the information could only be provided at disproportionate cost.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p /> <p>The value of help for funeral costs is calculated to cover the necessary costs of: a new burial plot with all necessary burial fees or the cost of necessary cremation fees; reasonable cost of transportation of the body in the UK, for any part of the journey that is in excess of 50 miles, and the necessary cost of that part of the return journey that is over 50 miles for the transport of the coffin and bearers, plus 1 additional vehicle; the cost of documentation needed for the immediate release of assets of the deceased; and the necessary expenses of one return journey for the responsible person to arrange or attend the funeral. We also provide up to £700 for other funeral expenses.</p><p> </p><p>To be eligible for a Funeral Payment the person who is responsible for payment of the funeral bill must be the partner of the deceased, if there is one, or a close relative or friend of the deceased and be in receipt of certain income based benefits.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p>

The Minister for Disabled People has convened a meeting with experts and other interested stakeholders on occupational lung disease. This will take place in early June. The Minister has also asked the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council to advise on the use of CT scanning to diagnose pneumoconiosis in the Industrial Injuries Disablement Scheme.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The latest available data covering claimants who were assessed for Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit can be found in the Official Statistics data tables “Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit quarterly statistics: data to June 2017” published in February 2018 here: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/682401/iidb_quarterly_statistics-june-2017.ods" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/682401/iidb_quarterly_statistics-june-2017.ods</a></p><p> </p><p>Table IIDB1_10: “Industrial Injury first diagnosed prescribed diseases all assessments in the quarter by type of disease” shows the number of assessments for D1 (Pneumoconiosis, Asbestosis and Silicosis) each quarter while Table IIDB1_10A: “Industrial Injury first diagnosed prescribed diseases all assessments resulting in payment in the quarter by type of disease” shows the number of awards resulting in payment for D1 each quarter. The latest date for which published data is available is 30th June 2017 and new data is published quarterly.</p><p> </p><p>Individual reasons for Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit disallowances are not centrally recorded by the Department.</p>
