	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/02/2019 answer text <p>The department’s statutory guidance for schools, ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (KCSIE), already makes clear that schools should record all of their concerns, discussions and decisions regarding safeguarding, and the reasons for those decisions, in writing.</p><p> </p><p>The department recently strengthened KCSIE and introduced a new Part 5. This provides guidance on managing reports of child on child sexual violence and sexual harassment. The guidance is clear that the starting point for schools is to pass reports of rape, assault by penetration or sexual assault to the police.</p><p> </p><p>Ofsted inspectors must always evaluate the effectiveness of how schools keep their pupils safe. If inspectors are made aware of safeguarding issues during the inspection process, they will check that these have been acted on . If inspectors find evidence they have not been dealt with this would be reflected in the judgement awarded to the school. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/04/2019 answer text <p>This government has taken significant steps to raise the living standards of low-income families, including introducing the National Living Wage, raising the personal tax allowance so no-one pays tax on the first £12,500 earned and improving financial incentives to work. The government is committed to delivering a country that works for everyone and I want to ensure that all children have access to healthy food and enriching activities during the school holidays. Last year I announced £2 million for projects to deliver this sort of provision, free to disadvantaged pupils during the 2018 summer holidays. We are more than quadrupling that amount for the 2019 summer holidays where we will be exploring how the local coordination of this sort of provision can help more disadvantaged pupils to access free high quality holiday club provision during the school holidays.</p><p> </p><p>The information requested on data on the number of free school meals served in each local authority is not held centrally. However, data on the number of pupils eligible for and claiming free school meals in state-funded schools for each local authority is available here: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/schools-pupils-and-their-characteristics-january-2018" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/schools-pupils-and-their-characteristics-january-2018</a>.</p><p>Accompanying this answer is a table showing the number of holiday clubs the Department for Education funded within each local authority, through its summer 2018 Holiday Activities and Food Research Fund. Please note that the total number of clubs included in this table is greater than the 283 clubs referred to in the ‘management information release’ related to this fund due to some clubs not returning usable management information. This is because our employees have access to many other means of support including: arrangements to contribute to a credit union via direct debit; the opportunity to request salary advances; season ticket loans; and a tenancy rental deposit scheme. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/09/2019 answer text <p>Harrow Borough Council officers contacted the Department’s officials in March 2017 when the issue of the temporary relocation of Pinner Wood Primary School occurred. The Department has received letters of support from my right hon. Friend, the Member for Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner and my hon. Friend, the Member for Harrow East. No further exchanges have taken place with other parties.</p><p>The safety of pupils and staff is paramount, and Harrow Borough Council acted promptly and properly in discharging their statutory responsibilities for health and safety by moving the school to alternative accommodation.</p><p>Harrow Borough Council have submitted a request for funding to reimburse them for the costs incurred. As Pinner Wood Primary School is a local authority-maintained school, responsibility for maintenance and capital works rests with Harrow Borough Council. Harrow Borough Council receive capital funding through the School Condition Allocation to meet capital needs of their school estate, including the funding of emergency situations. Unexpected capital projects do arise occasionally, and we would normally expect local authorities to reprioritise spending plans wherever possible to address them.</p><p>The Department recognises the exceptional nature of this case. Officials are revisiting the details of the request and are committed to securing a contribution towards the temporary accommodation and transportation costs.
