star this property answer text <p>As a result of twelve consecutive years of frozen fuel duty rates, the average UK car driver will pay around £15 less per tank of fuel, and will have cumulatively saved around £1,900 since 2011, compared to what would have been paid under the pre-2010 escalator. The 2022-23 freeze represents a saving for consumers of nearly £8 billion over the next five years.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government recognises that transport is a major cost for households and businesses in Scotland.</p><p>That is why the Prime Minister recently announced that fuel duty will be frozen in 2019/20, a ninth successive freeze. This will benefit all drivers in Scotland and across the UK.</p><p>As a result of the last eight years of freezes, the average car driver has saved a cumulative £850 compared to pre-2010 escalator plans.</p> more like this
