	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/07/2016 answer text <p>The government remains clear that judicial review, when used properly, is a crucial component of the rule of law.</p><p> </p><p>But too often the system is open to abuse, and that is why we have taken forward reform. These changes include creating the Planning Court, in which significant challenges are considered by judges with planning expertise to time targets, and sections of the Criminal Justice and Courts Act 2015, such as allowing appeals of national significance to more often move direct to the Supreme Court, reducing the potential for delay.</p><p> </p><p>A number of the outstanding reforms will take effect in due course, and the government is currently seeking further views on proposals for providing the courts with information on how judicial review applications are being funded.</p> answering member constituency North East Hertfordshire answering member printed Sir Oliver Heald question first answered 19/07/2016 15:45:53 answering member 69 label Biography information for Sir Oliver Heald

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/02/2017 answer text <p>HM Courts &amp; Tribunals Service officials have held discussions with real estate agents regarding the Hammersmith Magistrates’ Court site for the purpose of understanding its potential to deliver homes and estimated value.
