Offences involving the production and distribution of cannabis are subsumed within the general category of “Trafficking in controlled drugs” and data on the number of such offences that have resulted in a charge or summons between 2010 and 2018 are available in the Crime Outcomes open data tables at <br><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/police-recorded-crime-open-data-tables%20." target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/police-recorded-crime-open-data-tables .</a></p><p>The same tables provide data on the number of possession of cannabis offences that have resulted in a charge or summons.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Following the short term ACMD advice, the Home Secretary has confirmed that cannabis-derived medicinal products will be rescheduled. This means that senior clinicians will be able to prescribe the medicines to patients with an exceptional clinical need.</p><p>The Department of Health and Social Care and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency will now develop a clear definition of what constitutes a cannabis-derived medicinal product. Only products meeting this definition will be rescheduled. Other forms of cannabis will be kept under strict controls and will not be available on prescription. We will provide more details about this definition and the kinds of products that will be covered in due course.</p><p>The Home Secretary has been clear that speed is of the essence and the products will be available on prescription in the autumn.</p> more like this

This makes clear that applications must be made by senior clinicians who are on the General Medical Council’s relevant specialist register with an active license to practise.</p><p>The Department for Health and Social Care is working with NHS England and equivalents in the devolved nations to ensure that cannabis based medicinal products are sourced and supplied where a licence is granted. star this property answer text <p>On 22 June the Prime Minister announced a full public inquiry into the events at Grenfell Tower, to be chaired by Sir Martin Moore-Bick. The Inquiry is designed to ascertain the causes of the tragedy and ensure that the appropriate lessons are learned.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government announced a new panel of independent experts to advise Government on the immediate action that is required so the public can be confident everything possible is being done to make sure all buildings are safe as quickly as possible. The panel will also be asked to consider whether there are any changes or clarifications required to existing regulations, and provide advice on possible changes.</p><p><br> In the meantime, residents are encouraged to remain vigilant to the risk of fire and undertake any necessary precautions, for example, checking that their smoke alarms are working.</p> more like this
