	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/11/2017 answer text <p>Noise important areas are defined by the Department for Environment and Rural Affairs, under the Environmental Noise (England) Regulations 2006. There are 13 noise important areas between junctions 6 and 9 of the M20. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/01/2019 answer text <p>The noise levels on this section of the M20 have been assessed as part of DEFRA’s Noise Action Plan. This identified 10 areas between M20 Junction 8-9 which required investigation because of the level of noise.</p><p>Action has been taken to mitigate noise at five out of the 10 areas with the installation of noise insulation.
