star this property answer text <p>Police Information Notices (PINs) are an operational tool used by some police forces in England and Wales. Their use is the responsibility of the police and the issuing of guidance about them is the responsibility of the College of Policing. Information on their use is not collected centrally. The issuance of Police Information Notices (PINs) is an operational matter for police forces. Responsibility for the publication of information relating to PINs rests with Chief Constables.</p><p> </p><p>Following this year’s joint inspection by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire &amp; Rescue Service and Her Majesty’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) Inspectorate which recommended the police cease use of PINs, we have been working with the National Policing Lead and the College of Policing on next steps on the use of PINs. The Home Secretary also chaired a National Oversight Group to ensure the inspection’s findings are acted upon.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>It is important that firearms officers are supported to make the difficult decisions necessary to protect the public, and are able to carry out their duties without fearing that a justified use of force will damage their careers. It is also essential that decisions by the police to use force of any kind are subject to proper scrutiny.</p><p>That was why the previous Home Secretary commissioned officials to review the legal and procedural framework governing police use of firearms and post-incident investigation. star this property answer text <p>Responsibility for leading the Government’s work to tackle child sexual exploitation sits with the Home Office.</p><p>On 3 March 2015, the previous Government published its response to the failures in the Rotherham, which were identified by Professor Alexis Jay and Louise Casey in their reviews. The report, Tackling Child Sexual Exploitation, sets out the Government’s approach to tackling sexual exploitation. It includes a comprehensive, targeted set of actions, bringing together healthcare, social care, education, law enforcement, criminal justice agencies, and local and national government.</p><p>The Government is taking a forward theses actions and we will update Parliament and the public in due course.</p> more like this
