This mandatory data set includes provision for the diagnosis of autism to be recorded, and reporting on these data has been prioritised. Experimental data reports on the number of people diagnosed with autism are expected to be published by the end of 2016.</p><p> </p><p>The National Health Service is taking action to increase the health checks and cancer screening programmes for people with learning disabilities, including those who also have autism. In 2015, NHS England commissioned the world's first Learning Disability Mortality Review Programme to support local areas to review deaths of people with learning disabilities and to use the information to improve service provision so that physical and mental health problems can be identified and addressed. Information from the programme will help with what more can be done to support regular health monitoring to address the health care needs of people diagnosed with autism.</p><p> </p><p>In 2015, the Department reviewed and updated the autism statutory guidance for the NHS and local authorities in England. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/05/2016 answer text <p>The mandate to NHS England makes it clear they should ensure the National Health Service meets the needs of each individual with a service where people’s experience of their care is seen as an integral part of overall quality.</p><p> </p><p>It is for the NHS locally to ensure appropriate facilities and services are in place to support parents following pregnancy loss. To assist NHS commissioners and providers, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists’ Standards for Gynaecology and Standards for Maternity (2008) sets out clear standards for the level of care provided to help women and their partners experiencing pregnancy loss, including the availability of skilled staff to support parents following a stillbirth or miscarriage. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/05/2016 answer text <p>People detained in immigration removal centres (IRCs) should receive an equivalent range and quality of treatment and services for their health needs as people in the community, according to their clinical needs.</p><p>Health care in IRCs in England is commissioned by NHS England, who only commission evidence-based treatments approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). NICE provides guidance on the treatment of people who self-harm, which healthcare professionals in IRCs are expected to take into account. The mental health issues often experienced by those with cancer were highlighted in it. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/11/2015 answer text <p>The ministerial working group on homelessness report ‘Addressing complex needs – improving services for vulnerable people’ (2015) highlighted significant levels of substance misuse among the homeless population. Homeless people often have multiple health needs, and the report showed how vulnerable people can become trapped in a cycle of homelessness because of their overlapping and complex problems.</p><p><strong></strong></p><p>Improving access to specialist substance misuse services for homeless people can also help to facilitate access to the help they need to find accommodation. This includes both in-house services and onward referral routes to external organisations, such as local authority housing services or other housing support services.</p><br /><p>Public Health England (PHE) supports local authorities to help them understand better the needs of homeless people with addictions, in addition to working with key stakeholders such as the Faculty for Homeless and Inclusion Health and membership organisation Homeless Link. PHE commissioned Homeless Link to carry out a rapid evidence assessment of homelessness prevention. PHE has also supported Homeless Link to update the Homeless Health Needs Audit toolkit, an important tool that can help areas understand the scale and nature of homelessness, the health inequalities experienced by single homeless people, and to monitor any changes in the health of this population. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/01/2016 answer text <p>Responsibility for raising such public awareness in Scotland rests with the Scottish Government. In England, Public Health England (PHE) runs a range of national social marketing campaigns to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of certain life-threatening illnesses and to therefore improve rates of early diagnosis. These campaigns include the Be Clear on Cancer, Act FAST and a regional pilot on breathlessness as a symptom of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and heart failure, raising awareness on lung cancer and heart and lung disease.</p><br /><p>PHE also runs a tobacco marketing programme with a range of activity that highlights the health harms of smoking, including demonstrating the link between smoking and cancer, and heart and lung disease. As well as encouraging smokers to make quit attempts the activity signposts to proven National Health Service tools/service to help them.
