star this property answer text <p>The Home Office has a Service Standard to make an initial asylum decision on straightforward claims within 182 days of the date of claim however we are aware of the number of older cases in the system. These are more complex cases which generally have barriers that prevents an initial asylum decision being made. star this property answer text <p>In December 2017 we delivered on our commitment to protect the rights of EU citizens living in the UK before we leave the EU in March 2019. This was further established in March, when a reciprocal deal was agreed extending citizens’ rights until the end of the implementation period – December 2020.</p><p>The Home Office is making good progress in developing the system to issue immigration status to all resident EU citizens, and their family members, and intend to launch the settlement scheme at the end of this year.</p> more like this
