But we do not believe that a history of domestic violence and abuse has to be a barrier to using the Child Maintenance direct pay service.</p><p> </p><p>When parents have a direct pay arrangement, caseworkers can act as an intermediary and pass information between parents, including bank details, so that the parents do not need to have any contact with each other.</p><p> </p><p>They will also provide information about how to set up a bank account with a centralised sort code, which means that it gives no indication of the possible location of the account holder. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/07/2018 answer text <p>The Social Fund Funeral Expenses Payments provides a significant contribution towards funeral costs, covering burials, cremations and £700 towards coffins, flowers and other costs. It continues to meet the necessary costs of a cremation or burial for claimants on certain income based benefits or tax credits. Average payments have increased year-on-year to meet these necessary costs, by some 28% over the past ten years.</p><p> </p><p>We have also made interest-free Social Fund Budgeting Loans available for funeral costs in addition to Funeral Expenses Payments. We are continually working with the assessment providers to further improve the quality of assessments, including clinical coaching, feedback and support available to each assessor. The Department has put in place an independent audit of assessments to ensure that the advice provided to the Department's decision makers is of suitable quality, fully explained and justified.
