	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/03/2017 answer text <p>The Home Office does not routinely comment on individual immigration cases.</p><p>Currently, unaccompanied children under the age of 18 may be detained only in a limited number of very exceptional circumstances. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/10/2016 answer text <p>The UK has received a number of legal challenges regarding alleged delays in accepting asylum seeking children in Calais who assert that they have a legal right to residence in the UK.</p><p>A number of these challenges include cases where the child is yet to seek asylum in France. We are clear that individuals must claim asylum before the UK can consider a transfer request. We have published guidance on gov.uk which makes this clear.</p><p>The Government want to be able to guarantee the legal status of EU nationals who are living in the UK, and we are confident that we will be able to do this. But we must also win the same rights for British nationals living in European countries, and it will be a priority for the Government to achieve those things together.</p><p>As part of this process, the Home Secretary will continue to work closely with colleagues across Whitehall and the Government will engage with relevant stakeholders.</p><p>Article 70 of the Vienna Convention applies to States only. It does not create rights for individuals. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/02/2017 answer text <p>Under the Immigration Act we made a commitment to transfer a specified number of unaccompanied refugee children to the UK, following consultation with local authorities on capacity.</p><p>On 8 February, the Government announced that we will transfer the specified number of 350 children to the UK under section 67 of the Immigration Act.
