In Kent our work with the Local Resilience Forum has helped deliver Operation Brock, the locally owned and activated plan that will manage traffic disruption in Kent</p><p> </p><p>We are conducting a comprehensive multi-channel campaign to improve trader readiness. We produced a Haulier Handbook in conjunction with industry which has been delivered to 82,000 UK hauliers and managers. We have over 100 Brexit information pop-ups live in the UK and 26 at EU sites, including 600 ferry crossings a week.</p> more like this

This will be spent on work to develop a new road haulage permit system, put in place new systems to support market access for hauliers and private motorists, and changes to DVSA facilities. The Department is presently determining the scope and timing of the regulatory review announced in the Future of Mobility: Urban Strategy.</p><p> </p><p>Officials have had introductory meetings with representatives from leading e-scooter hiring companies. However, active travel methods remain the best option for short urban journeys, and the Government is keen to stress the importance of these methods of travel.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government is seeking a comprehensive air transport agreement which maintains liberalised aviation access between and within the territory of the UK and the EU.</p><p> </p><p>The EU (Withdrawal) Act will retain EU law, as it stands at the moment of exit, in UK law. This means that the provisions established by EU regulation 261/2004 will continue to apply to flights from UK airports to both countries in and outside of the EU.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>While the UK is still a member of the EU, the same rules apply and UK licences continue to be recognised by all Member States.</p><p> </p><p>We will be seeking to negotiate a comprehensive agreement with the EU to cover the continued recognition and exchange of UK licences after exit so that UK licence holders are not required to carry additional documentation. In the absence of this we will be seeking bilateral agreements with individual member states.</p><p> </p><p>If there is no deal with the EU, the contingency is that both private and professional drivers may need an International Driving Permit (IDP), as well as their UK driving licence to drive in the EU following exit. IDPs would be issued under either the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic, which is already in force for the UK or the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic which will come into force for the UK on 28<sup>th</sup> March 2019.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The European Union (Withdrawal) Bill will convert European Union law into UK law as it applies in the UK at the moment of exit. This will ensure that, wherever possible, the same rules and laws will apply the day after exit as they did before.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is still making a detailed assessment of what corrections will be required to make that law function appropriately on exit day. The Government’s current estimate is that we will need to make between 800 and 1,000 statutory instruments to make exit effective in UK law.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>These customer facing systems are managed by the Train Operating Companies and third party suppliers. Where trains have been removed from the timetable in advance, they generally should not appear on these systems, whereas trains cancelled on the day will appear as cancellations.</p><p> </p><p>Passengers are encouraged to apply for Delay Repay. Delay Repay compensation is payable to passengers disrupted by 15 minutes or more on Govia Thameslink Railway services. Currently, compensation entitlements will be payable in relation to claims that are submitted either against the May 2018 timetable or in relation to the train service in place on the day of travel.</p> more like this
