star this property answer text <p>Government funding for green innovation is provided for private sector led technology R&amp;D through grants, procurement approaches and to a lesser extent equity interventions. Additionally, DECC, Research Councils and InnovateUK are involved in European programmes that can leverage significant funding from the EC while ensuring cross border collaboration.</p><p>Government spent ~£1.3billion on low carbon innovation for the period 2011-15. In addition, the Low Carbon Networks Fund which is funded by network operators is expected to allocate ~£440m over the period 2010-15. See table 1 attached:</p><p>Separately, the British Business Bank has three main programmes for supporting early stage technology investment, including in the clean technology area: the Enterprise Capital Funds targeted at early stage venture capital investment; the UK Innovation Investment Fund (UKIIF) which supports creation of viable investment funds targeting UK high growth technology-based businesses; and the Venture Capital Catalyst Fund, launched in 2013.</p><p>As part of the recent Spending Review, it was announced that the department for Energy &amp; Climate Change will double its innovation program to £500 million over the next five years.</p><p>UK Green Investment Bank plc (GIB) also invests in innovative green projects, though it does so on fully commercial terms and is focused on technologies ready for deployment at full commercial scale and capable of attracting additional investment from mainstream finance providers. Details of all GIB’s investments to date can be found on the company’s website.</p>

star this property answer text <p>Since the launch on 14 January 2009 of the Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme, 29,092 loans have been offered with a value of over £3 billion. With regard to Working Capital support, 47 companies have also received support through UK Export Finance’s Export Working Capital product, enabling over £250 million of export contracts to take place</p><p> </p><p>The British Business Bank was formally created in November 2014. Its programmes are currently supporting £2.5 billion of finance to over 44,000 smaller businesses, and participating in a further £3.6 billion of finance to small mid-cap businesses.</p><p> </p><p>Where it has been possible to provide the data in the format requested this has been included in the attached tables.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>It is an offence under section 168 of the Equalities Act 2010 to refuse to take an assistance dog in a taxi or private hire vehicle. The maximum penalty is a level 3 fine (up to £1,000).</p><p> </p><p>The number of offenders sentenced at all courts (with fines and average fines specifically identified) for failure to comply with a section 168 duty in relation to an assistance dog for a disabled person, in England and Wales, from 2011 (earliest separately identifiable information available) to 2015 can be viewed in table 1.</p><p> </p><p>The number of defendants proceeded against at magistrates courts for failure to comply with a section 168 duty in relation to an assistance dog for a disabled person, listed by local authority prosecuting the case in England and Wales, from 2011 (earliest separately identifiable information available) to 2015 can be viewed in table 2.</p><p> </p><p>Centrally held data by the Ministry of Justice includes information on defendants proceeded against, found guilty and sentenced for criminal offences in England and Wales. Data on whether a guide dog for the blind or a different type of assistance dog was involved in such a case is not held centrally, or reliably recorded where there is no operational reason to do so.</p>
