star this property answer text <p>UK has spent £23.9 million in rural water and sanitation in Mozambique over the past five years. Our programme includes direct support and technical assistance to government to plan, build and maintain water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services. We have also worked with UNICEF, a global leader in the provision of WASH services. Over the past four years the UK has helped an additional 2.3 million people gain access to clean water and a further 2.1 million to sanitation.</p><p> </p><p>Full details of DFID funding to Mozambique are published on the Development Tracker website: <a href="http://devtracker.dfid.gov.uk/" target="_blank">http://devtracker.dfid.gov.uk/</a>.</p><p> </p><p>DFID is currently in the process of finalising its programme portfolio for 2016-2020 and will decide any continued investments in WASH accordingly.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>DFID has spent £6.8m on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Services (WASH) programmes in Liberia since 2009.</p><p> </p><p>This includes work on both physical infrastructure and hygiene promotion in rural and urban areas; however the data is not broken down in the format requested.</p><p> </p><p>In addition to support for water, sanitation and hygiene services, DFID has supported the World Bank Liberia Reconstruction Trust Fund (LRTF) since its inception, which has resulted in improved solid waste management and collection in Monrovia.</p><p> </p><p>Full details of DFID funding to Liberia are published on the Development Tracker website: http://devtracker.dfid.gov.uk/.</p><p> </p><p>DFID is currently in the process of finalising its programme portfolio for 2016-2020 and will decide any continued investments in WASH accordingly.</p><p> </p> more like this

SID does not differentiate between DFID’s spend in the West Bank and Gaza.</p><p>The UK provided more than £17 million in immediate humanitarian assistance for those affected by the Gaza conflict in the summer of 2014. In October 2014, the UK pledged a further £20 million in early recovery assistance at the Gaza Reconstruction Conference in Cairo, including support for cash assistance to Palestinian refugees, mine removal and medical treatment. The UK has disbursed this pledge in its entirety. Since then the UK has provided additional support to Gaza, including supporting basic service delivery, such as health and education, through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), supporting humanitarian access, enabling reconstruction efforts and investing in job creation.</p>

star this property answer text <p>Through the Palestinian Market Development Programme (PMDP) DFID has supported 264 businesses in Gaza to recover from the 2014 Gaza war. As a result of electricity shortages some PMDP beneficiaries have had to cease operations and others have responded by taking actions such as adjusting working hours, operating below capacity and using more expensive sources of electricity such as generators. We urge all the parties to find a sustainable solution to increase electricity supply.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>According to the Food Security Sector (FSS) in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPTs), direct damages to agricultural produce as a result of electricity shortages are estimated at approximately 78,000 tons of vegetables, equivalent to 78 million New Israeli Shekels (£16.25 million) of lost revenues to agricultural workers. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has indicated that electricity shortages are creating increasingly unsustainable conditions for most of the agricultural production sector with significant loss of revenues for agricultural workers.</p><p> </p> more like this
