star this property answer text <p>DWP has recently introduced improvements to the way in which it actions Tell Us Once notifications following registration of a death with a Registrar. Improved automation supports timely action across DWP service areas with clearance routinely completing within 24 hours of receipt. This investment and ongoing focus on preventing multiple letters after the notification of death is proving successful, although it is accepted that there may be cases where external factors compromise this achievement.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>I chair the National Retail Crime Steering Group (NRCSG) which brings together partners including the police, trade bodies and retailers and is overseeing a range of work to tackle retail crime. This includes the collation and dissemination of good practice and developing guidance on the use of Impact Statements for Business, which give victims of business crime the opportunity to set out the impact the crime has had on the business, including, for example, financial loss. The NRCSG also continues to work with retailers to improve the management and response to shop theft using a partnership approach.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>AIRE is the new Advice, Issue Reporting and Eligibility service for asylum seekers. Migrant Help are the provider for AIRE. AIRE was implemented on 1 September 2019.</p><p>As this is a new contract, internal operational data from Migrant Help Is not yet ratified and cannot be shared at this point. We recognise that call waiting times are currently outside Service Level Standard and we are working with Migrant Help to support them in addressing this. Call volumes have exceeded forecasts for a variety of reasons and Migrant Help have introduced alternative forms of contact, which are already having a positive impact on reducing call waiting times.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government is clear that it is unacceptable that patients seeking healthcare advice or staff working in healthcare facilities should feel intimidated or harassed. This country has a proud history of allowing free speech, but the right to peaceful protest does not extend to harassment or intimidating behaviour and the law currently provides protection against such acts.</p><p>The Home Office takes the matter of protesters outside abortion clinics extremely seriously. That is why we carried out an in-depth assessment to understand the scale and nature of protests outside abortion clinics to establish whether more should be done to protect those requiring an abortion. The previous Home Secretary set out his position on 13 September 2018 through a Written Ministerial Statement.
