answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/06/2017 answer text <p>In April 2017 we published the Improving Lives: Helping Workless Families paper which outlined the actions we plan to take in supporting the most vulnerable families.</p><p>This included the launch of an innovative new programme to address parental conflict as this is a critical influence on the quality of parenting. Children exposed to frequent, intense and poorly resolved conflict between parents are at greater risk of poor social, emotional and cognitive outcomes. The new programme will support the use of evidence-based interventions to reduce parental conflict, delivered by specialist organisations at a local level. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/10/2016 answer text <p>Our primary goal is to help care leavers get into work wherever possible and our interventions are tailored to achieve this. Care leavers aged between 18 and 21 have the opportunity to join the Work Programme from day one of their benefit claim, so that they receive tailored, locally-appropriate employment support at the earliest opportunity. We also provide additional support, over and above the standard Jobcentre Plus offer, to young claimants, including care leavers, aged 18-24. Work Coaches tailor interventions to the needs of the individual to address a variety of barriers to work, including improving job search skills, referral to skills and other work-related training such as Traineeships, Apprenticeships and work experience.</p><p>We have safeguards in place for care leavers along with other claimants who may be considered vulnerable. Work Coaches support all claimants with complex needs, or who require additional support, to ensure that they fully understand what they have been asked to do to enable them to access DWP benefits and use our services.</p><p>Care leavers, like all claimants, take ownership of planning how they will meet their requirements and ultimately secure employment. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/11/2018 answer text <p>Funding for Jobcentre Plus Community Partners and additional Disability Employment Advisers has been agreed up until 31st March 2019.</p><p> </p><p>There is a range of support available for claimants with a health condition or disability, including one-to-one support from Work Coaches, The Work and Health Programme and the Personal Support package. Our overall aim is for work coaches to continue to develop the skills and confidence to provide good coaching and effective support. Disability Employment Advisers and Community Partners are among a number of the enablers in place to support this priority.</p><p> </p><p>We are carrying out continuous evaluation, including a review of the Community Partner and Disability Employment Adviser role functions. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/12/2016 answer text <p>To assist claimants, DWP shares information with HMRC to help identify those Child Tax Credits (CTC) claimants entitled to higher rate CTC because of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) Child award. The clerical process to do this was not working as intended and resulted in a reduced number of clerical referrals from DWP to HMRC.</p><p> </p><p>Referral volumes are now back in line with expectations and there have been no further issues reported. This is a combination of forecasting changes which are detailed on page 150 of the OBR’s EFO as well as the impacts of the Budget 2018 which can be seen in table 4.28 and on pages 150 to 153. In addition to sending letters, we do attempt to remind people of appointments where an alternative channel like SMS text is available to use.
