For example, Ofgem is consulting on appropriate delivery models for projects in the HND and on accelerating the delivery of the strategic electricity transmission network. NGESO published their ‘Industry Code, Standard and Licence Recommendation Report' alongside the HND in July 2022; this outlined the scope of the changes to codes and standards needed to implement the HND. CfD Allocation Round (AR) 4 was the biggest ever auction and secured a record 7GW of new capacity. Achieving net zero will require increased deployment across a range of technologies, including onshore wind. Our recent Energy White Paper stated that we will need sustained growth in the capacity of onshore wind over the next decade alongside solar and offshore wind.</p><p> </p><p>This is why we announced on 2 March 2020 that onshore wind and other established renewable technologies such as solar PV will be able to compete in the next Contracts for Difference (CfD) allocation round. The costs of onshore wind have fallen dramatically and are around 50% cheaper than in 2015. The British Energy Security Strategy set out that the Government is serious about delivering cheaper, cleaner, more secure power, and will consider all options for increasing onshore wind deployment in ways that local communities will support. The Government published impact assessments when consulting and publishing the Government’s response.</p><p>To be eligible for a rebate under Core Group 2, a household must be in receipt of a qualifying means-tested benefit and living in a property which we have estimated to have relatively high heating costs. Friends the Secretary of State and the Home Secretary have regular discussions covering a variety of issues.</p><p>Our new relationship with the EU means that there are new rules in place for UK nationals travelling to the EU. For short-stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period, UK nationals will not need a visa when travelling to and within the Schengen Area, where they are undertaking a limited range of activities such as attending meetings, tourism, cultural or sporting events. Under the Trade and Cooperation Agreement with the EU, business travellers do not require a work permit to carry out certain short-term business travel activities, such as attending meetings and conferences, providing after sale-services, or translation and market research services, unless otherwise stated in the agreement. Some Member States allow additional activities without the need for a visa or work permit. The types of additional activities allowed differ by Member State, and UK nationals should check relevant rules before travelling.</p><p>For those undertaking longer-term stays or stays involving work or providing a service under a contract, a visa and/or work permit may be required.
