unstar this property answer text <p /> <p /> <p>Data on all international students employed under the former Tier 1 Post Study Work visa are not available. <br><br>The Impact Assessment on ‘Reform of the Points Based Student (PBS) Immigration System’ uses survey data to make the assumption that 51 per cent of Tier 1 Post Study Work employees are in skilled employment. The survey data, which is for Tier 1 applicants, has a breakdown of the 2 digit standard occupational code groups. For the financial year 2013-14, <br>99.58 percent of customers received their passports within that period. <br><br>Achievement of turnaround times is a national objective and specific targets are not focused on individual offices. unstar this property answer text <p /> <p /> <p>The Government’s assessment of the impact of closing the Tier 1 Post Study Work route was published in 2011 and is available at: <br><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/reform-of-the-points-based-student-immigration-system" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/reform-of-the-points-based-student-immigration-system</a>.</p><p /> <p>The Government’s policy objectives were to reduce net migration, increase the selectivity of the immigration system and clamp down on abuse. Accordingly, the impact assessment did not consider the likely effect on domestic graduate unemployment. While the Government does not believe it appropriate to offer non-EEA nationals unrestricted access to the labour market at a time of high graduate unemployment, Tier 4 (Student) Visa holders who obtain a graduate level job may remain in the UK on a Tier 2 Skilled Work) visa.</p><p /> <p /> <p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p /> <p /> <p>The first group of Syrian refugees arrived in the UK on 25 March as part of the Government's Vulnerable Persons Relocation (VPR) Scheme. The next group of refugees is expected to arrive this month, with further groups to follow on a regular basis. We continue to work with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to establish a steady flow of cases.</p><p /> <p>Whilst there is no set quota, we predict that the VPR scheme will support several hundred people over the next three years.</p><p /> <p>A number of local authorities have indicated that they would like to participate in the scheme, and we are in discussions with other local authorities who have expressed an interest.</p><p /> <p /> <p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p /> <p /> <p>We are working with the NSPCC to pilot a dedicated Modern Slavery Helpline as <br>part of a wider communications and marketing campaign to raise awareness of <br>modern slavery. The NSPCC will be reimbursed for the cost of hosting the <br>hotline, up to a <br>maximum of £50,000 for 12 months from 31 July 2014.<br><br>The purpose of the helpline is to provide potential victims, members of the <br>public and professionals with one consistent telephone number to call if they <br>have concerns related to modern slavery. We are working with a number of <br>non-governmental organisations and law enforcement agencies to ensure that the <br>NSPCC can direct helpline callers to a range of organisations that can <br>provide additional help, advice and support. The helpline will also be a route <br>for potential victims to access Government-funded support. The helpline and <br>website will also provide information and general advice about modern slavery</p><p /> <p /> <p> </p> more like this
