	answer	answer answer text <p>There have been three Official Development Assistance projects related to unconventional gas in China, which have focused on ensuring a sustainable, responsible approach to China's planned development of its shale gas resources and helping accelerate the transition away from coal as an energy source. The first project supported the development of improved standards for local and community engagement with large infrastructure projects, including shale gas. The second project supported Sichuan Province in China to develop shale gas in a sustainable way by improving its environmental protection and mineral rights regulation. The third produced a scoping study to advise Her Majesty's Government on options for future Prosperity Fund projects with China on shale gas. Outcomes recorded from these, now-completed, projects include 1) increased understanding of international standards for public engagement related to energy infrastructure, 2) endorsement by the Sichuan Energy Bureau and Sichuan Environmental Protection Bureau of policy recommendations supporting the development of the first set of provincial environmental regulations for shale gas in China, and 3) improved understanding of the barriers to development of the Chinese shale gas industry, including the lack of a coherent environmental framework.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>We have serious concerns about the human rights situation in the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) including restrictions on freedom of religion or belief, and restrictions on freedom of assembly and association.</p><p> </p><p>We consistently urge China to respect all fundamental rights across the People's Republic of China, including in Tibet, in line with both its own constitution and the international frameworks to which it is a party. We believe that long-term stability in Tibet will be best achieved through respect for universal human rights and genuine autonomy for Tibet within the framework of the Chinese constitution. Meaningful dialogue is the best way to address and resolve the underlying grievances and we continue to urge all sides to restart talks.</p><p> </p><p>Further, the UK is active in raising Tibet in multilateral fora. We made a statement at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva in June 2018 where we reiterated our concerns over restrictions on civil and political freedoms, particularly minority rights, and freedom of religion in China, including Tibet. Additionally, we asked an advanced question about Tibet at China’s last Universal Periodic Review, and included our concerns in our statement.</p><p> </p><p>We are also aware of, and concerned by, reports of the apparent increasing isolation of TAR through restrictions on foreign tourists, journalists and officials (including those representing the UN and EU) seeking to visit TAR. To this end, we are monitoring the progress and impact of the US Reciprocal Access to Tibet Act, including through discussions with our US counterparts</p>

Our non-Resident Ambassador – the British High Commissioner to Accra – provides our diplomatic representation and recently received accreditation from the Government of Togo. In March, our Honorary Consul also received accreditation. This progress demonstrates the strengthening of our bilateral relationship with Togo and enables us to progress our relationship further.</p><p>Our non-Resident Ambassador has discussed how the UK-Togo relationship can expand with President Gnassingbé, specifically concerning economic development and improved trade links.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>​The United Kingdom and the Republic of Azerbaijan have enjoyed a strong diplomatic relationship for over a quarter of century. Through regular political and economic dialogue we work together to increase cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. Our annual strategic dialogue, which I last co-chaired in October 2018, provides opportunity for discussion of bilateral relations, multilateral issues and human rights.</p><p>Our regular UK-Azerbaijan Joint Intergovernmental Commission, which is co-chaired by the Minister of State for International Trade, was last held on 22 May. This is a forum for in-depth discussion of the UK and Azerbaijan's energy and trade relationship, and sets the agenda for future cooperation in new economic sectors.</p><p>We also strengthen bilateral relations through regular high-level visits, most significantly when the Prime Minister welcomed President Aliyev to the UK in April 2018. We have forged close partnerships in the educational, cultural and creative sectors. Every year we welcome new Chevening scholars from Azerbaijan to the UK, and thousands of Azerbaijani students have studied at UK universities.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>Bilateral relations between the UK and Honduras are positive. We engage regularly with the Honduran Government through our non-resident Embassy in Guatemala City, and with the Honduran Embassy in London. We are members of the G16 donors’ group in Honduras. In Financial Year 2019/20 the Embassy will support projects in Honduras under the themes of promoting freedom of press, business and human rights. The UK has also recently agreed funding via the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to help combat the Illegal Wildlife Trade in the country.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>​We are appalled by reports that hospitals in north west Syria have been hit by Russian and regime airstrikes. The UN estimate that 20 health facilities, at least 9 of which are hospitals, have been affected by recent hostilities. It is inexcusable that hospitals have been attacked despite their coordinates being provided to Russia and others by the UN deconfliction mechanism. We urgently call on the Syrian regime, Russia and all other actors to abide by international law and respect the ceasefire agreed last year and the deconfliction mechanism.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>​We welcomed the Fact Finding Mission’s (FFM) final report of March which drew a clear conclusion of reasonable grounds to believe a toxic chemical, likely molecular chlorine, was used as a weapon. On 28 May the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapon Director General confirmed all evidence and views were considered in preparing the FFM report. The Technical Secretariat stands by the findings and we continue to have confidence in both our own and the FFM’s conclusions about this attack.</p>

We call for his immediate release and for the legitimate demands of Sudanese people to be respected. Violence must not be used, including against opponents. We consistently made clear to the former Government of Sudan our expectation that all detainees should be treated in accordance with international standards; we continue to call upon the Sudanese authorities to do so. Our Ambassador in Khartoum made clear to the Deputy Head of the Transitional Military Committee, on 15 April, the steps that needed to be taken to improve the situation in Sudan, including the release of all political detainees. We also engage regularly with civil society groups on the issue of detainee treatment</p>
