Mobile coverage has significantly improved over recent years, with 91% of the UK landmass having 4G coverage by at least one operator, up from 78% in 2017. Despite this progress, there remain areas where mobile connectivity must be improved. The Government has committed to extend geographic 4G coverage to 95% of the UK by 2022 and so address these ‘not spots’.</p><p> </p><p>The Government welcomes the proposals set out in Ofcom’s consultation on awarding the 700 MHz and 3.6-3.8GHz spectrum bands to improve coverage.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>The Mayor has overall responsibility for housing policy and delivery in London, but we all agree that we need many more homes in London. Through our Affordable Homes Programme, the Government has invested over £4.8 billion in London to deliver at least 116,000 affordable homes by March 2022.</p><p>Almost one quarter of the new affordable homes delivered since 2010 have been in London (88,000 out of 407,000) and over 61,500 were affordable homes for rent.</p><p>Since 2015/16, 140 additional affordable housing completions have been supplied within the London Borough of Havering.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>The Department has estimated that the economic effect of a reasonable worst case scenario outbreak of African swine fever could cost the UK up to £90m at 2018 prices. This total estimate includes costs to industry from lost and culled livestock, costs to Government from control activities and lost value of trade.</p><p> </p><p>While this estimate represents an informed assessment of the potential impact of an outbreak, exact costs would be determined by a large number of factors including geographic location, the husbandry system, epidemiology of the outbreak and whether wildlife were involved.</p><p> </p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>It is a key priority of this Government to enable an innovative, productive and competitive agricultural and horticultural sector.</p><p>Attracting young talent into agricultural and horticultural careers and having a skilled workforce in place is vital for the future of UK food and farming.</p><p>The Government is working with industry bodies, such as the Food and Drink Sector Council, to raise awareness of agriculture as an exciting and attractive career path and to improve access to the talent and skills required by the industry.</p><p>The Government is reforming post-16 technical education to provide clear routes to skilled employment in agriculture and other sectors. A key part of this is the introduction of new T levels programmes, which alongside apprenticeships, will sit within 15 routes, including an Agriculture, Environmental and Animal Care route.</p><p>We are also exploring how to help Local Authorities with council farm estates and other organisations and landowners who want to invest in providing more opportunities for new farmers to start a foundation business and gain the experience they need to progress onto a larger unit.</p><p>As agriculture is a devolved matter the question on crofting will need to be asked of the Scottish Government.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>​We were deeply saddened by the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale and offered our condolences to his family and friends. Our High Commissioner in Ghana has made representations to the Government of Ghana, including through a statement made alongside other European Union Heads of Missions in Ghana. We continue to urge the authorities to ensure that there is a full investigation into the matter. As the Foreign Secretary set out on 18 January those responsible must face justice. Our High Commissioner is closely monitoring events following the beating and detention of a Ghanaian Times journalist, Malik Sullemana in 2018. We are in contact with the Ghanaian Times and the Ghanaian Police, and have urged the authorities to conclude their investigation into the matter.</p><p>The UK is committed to the promotion of media freedom and the protection of journalists worldwide. The Foreign Secretary has launched an international campaign to end the climate of impunity and mobilise a consensus behind the protection of journalists. In the coming year and beyond, we are going to increase the global spotlight on media freedom as an important issue.</p><p> </p>
