	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/03/2024 answer text <p>There are already statutory duties on water companies and local authorities to carry out risk assessments and sample drinking water supplies for anything which would constitute a potential danger to human health. This includes per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The Drinking Water Inspectorate has a guideline value on individual types of PFAS of 100 nanograms per litre. It was set in 2021 based on an assessment of existing scientific knowledge and agreed with the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) to be a robust level with an appropriate margin to ensure our drinking water is safe to drink. There is no evidence of PFAS concentrations above this value in drinking water supplies.</p><p> </p><p>Nevertheless, work is continuing with other government departments, regulators and the devolved administrations to assess levels of PFAS occurring in the environment, their sources and potential risks to safeguard current high drinking water quality and ensure our regulations remain fit for purpose.</p> answering member constituency Keighley answering member printed Robbie Moore question first answered 08/03/2024 17:11:03 answering member 4861 label Biography information for Robbie Moore

UK Visas and Immigration would take action to investigate the sponsor who has failed to comply with their duties. This may result in a sponsor having their licence revoked, therefore losing their ability to recruit staff from overseas. We have published guidance for prospective overseas candidates to help them make informed decisions and prepare for life in the United Kingdom. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/02/2024 answer text <p>The Central Digital and Data Office, in the Cabinet Office, sets the policy and leads the cross-government approach to the safe, ethical, legal and secure sharing of government data. They work with the Government Security Group, who also lead on the topic of Supply Chain Security.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>When sharing personal data with third party organisations, departments must make sure data is used fairly, lawfully and transparently, in compliance with the data protection principles set in UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This includes having the requisite data protection controls and governance in place and working with vendors and partners to identify and remediate any risks. All government contracts with suppliers must consider the security of all information and set expectations for how it should be protected.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Departments are responsible for managing their security risks, including the risks to their information that is held and processed by authorised third-parties. The Government Security Standard, local security policies and assurance frameworks such as the Cyber Assessment Framework set out how they should do this. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/02/2024 answer text <p>There is regular discussion between the government and film industry at both Ministerial and official level on a range of topics, including on workforce and skills issues.</p><p>The Creative Industries Sector Vision sets out this Government’s ambitions, shared with industry, to support this high-growth sector up to 2030. The second chapter of the Sector Vision focuses on the creative workforce and includes our 2030 job quality objective: that all parts of the creative industries are recognised for offering high quality jobs, ensuring a resilient and productive workforce that reflects the whole of the UK. It is vital therefore that we ensure the right recruitment practices are in place to support the sector.</p><p>The <a href="https://pec.ac.uk/research-reports/good-work-review" target="_blank">Good Work Review</a>, published in February 2023 by the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre, was co-funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and is the first sectoral deep dive of its kind into job quality and working practice in the creative industries. We have committed to, together with industry, set out an action plan to assess the recommendations of the review - including developing and reporting on recruitment practices.</p><p>To play their part in responding to the recommendations set out in the Good Work Review, the BFI has allocated £1,500,000 of National Lottery funds to a Good Work Programme for Screen. Users of fireworks need to use them responsibly and be aware of animals close by, and those found guilty of causing animals unnecessary suffering can face up to five years’ imprisonment.</p><p> </p><p>A number of animal welfare and veterinary organisations provide advice and guidance to enable people to minimise the impacts of fireworks on animal welfare. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/02/2024 answer text <p>When conducting our annual assessment of air pollutant emissions, we include petrol powered leaf blowers in the “Residential: Household and gardening (mobile)” category (regardless of whether they are used in a residential setting or not). Our latest assessment (National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory 2021) is that in 2021, this sector, which also includes petrol-powered lawn mowers, chainsaws etc, contributed a total of 3.5 tonnes of PM2.5 (0.004% of the UK total of 83.2 kilotons) and 328.8 tonnes of NO2 (0.05% of the UK total of 677.1 kilotons).</p><p> </p><p>Leaf blowers are an important tool for many in the landscaping and horticultural trades. As we continue our transition towards Net Zero we will look at ways to encourage a switch to non-fossil fuelled machinery, including mains and battery powered landscaping and horticultural equipment such as leaf blowers.</p><p> </p><p>The Noise Emission in the Environment by Equipment for use Outdoors Regulations 2001 regulate certain types of outdoor machinery to control the noise they produce, in order to reduce environmental impact, particularly in urban areas.
