answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/12/2023 answer text <p>The FCDO are making attempts across multiple channels to keep in touch with the British nationals in Gaza to provide the most accurate advice as to how and when to cross the Rafah Border. The FCDO usually provides consular assistance to British nationals and their non-British national immediate family members, including a spouse, partner, and children under 18, as long as they are travelling with or accompanied by a British national.</p><p>We are aware of the difficulties affecting those who would like to exit Gaza. We therefore encourage any British national to register their presence via the FCDO's Travel Advice page. The Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary have both repeatedly reinforced the importance of ensuring that all foreign nationals are able to evacuate Gaza safely, as well as ensuring that humanitarian aid urgently reaches those who need it most in Gaza. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/02/2022 answer text <p>Certain UK benefits can be paid to individuals residing outside the UK under social security reciprocal agreements. Individuals in receipt of DWP benefits are required to inform the Department for Work and Pensions if their address changes, including if they move to another country, and this is set out in communications to customers. Where individuals have informed the Department of their move abroad, then they are not claiming a benefit fraudulently.</p><p> </p><p>Operational staff have received guidance and training for dealing with cases under these agreements, to ensure that, when individuals inform us of a move to another country, they know how this will impact their benefit entitlement.</p><p> </p><p>In those instances where there is intelligence that a person may not be entitled to a benefit they are receiving, or fails to respond to requests for information to be provided, then the Department can suspend their benefit entitlement pending further investigation.
