star this property answer text <p>The review of permitted development rights for the change of use to residential will consider the quality standards of the homes delivered in England. This will consider matters relating to size, location, amenity and design. <br> <br> In addition, as part of its implementation plan for the Hackitt review, the Government has said that it will review the Building Regulations guidance. Any issues that are identified, such as space or daylight could contribute to our ongoing consideration of building regulations. The Government will set out its detailed plans in due course.</p> more like this

An Order devolving adult education functions to the North of Tyne Combined Authority is already before Parliament. Subject to Parliamentary agreement, from the 2020/21 academic year the combined authority and their elected Mayor will be able to better shape adult education provision and so better equip residents for work, an apprenticeship or further learning.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We are working closely with Homes England to ensure design quality across Government programmes and there is ongoing work to establish how places can be designed to boost people's health and well-being, including tackling loneliness.</p><p>For example, prospective garden communities were required to outline how they would achieve 10 design qualities in their proposals. These qualities help create places that support cohesive communities, and proposals were assessed against these criteria.</p> more like this

The Department has currently no plan to publish the report of that incomplete attempt.</p><p>In addition, acting on advice from the Independent Expert Advisory Panel, the Government has commissioned research to support further understanding of the fire performance of non-Aluminium Composite Materials (ACM) external wall systems. The tests began on 30 April 2019 and we expect to be able to publish the research findings in the autumn.</p><p> </p>
