This purpose would not be served by bringing into coverage the register activities carried on in places or at times not relevant to determining suitability, or by including places which are simply hosting educational visits rather than providing tuition and it is not our intention to do so.</p><p> </p><p>Issues such as the definition of usual school hours, and what is a relevant setting for the purposes of providing local authorities with information about children on the proposed register of children not in school, will be considered based on responses received to the consultation, which closes on 24 June. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/06/2019 answer text <p>Within the free school programme, if a freehold site is deemed surplus for educational use, the department commission LocatED, a government–owned property company, to market the asset, which includes posting on to the central database of Central Government Civil Estate properties and land. The department has a freehold of the Grade II listed Old Admiralty Building in London. This building is currently empty because the department is undertaking an extensive refurbishment of the building. In early 2020, the freehold will transfer to the Government Property Agency. We have placed employers at the heart of T level development and implementation. We have extended the remit of the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) to promote awareness of T levels and industry placements with a wide range of employers – the NAS has worked with and gained the interest of nearly 10,000 employers in 2018/19. The NAS also work with business representative networks and recently held a T levels Twitter panel with myself and the Federation of Small Businesses.</p><p>In addition, T level panel members, responsible for developing T level content, have become strong advocates for T levels. Employers have 24 months to spend their levy and levy-paying employers can transfer 25% of funds to other employers.</p><p> </p><p>The amount of funds entering employers’ digital apprenticeship service accounts in May 2017 was £135 million, of which £11 million in unspent funds expired in May 2019. This was the first month of expiry of funds. The amount of funds entering employer’ accounts in June 2017 was £152 million, for which the expiry of unspent funds will occur at the end of June 2019.</p><p> </p><p>These figures are for employers in England and include the 10% government top up. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/06/2019 answer text <p>We know students who leave school with a good grasp of English and maths increase their chances of securing a job or going on to further education.</p><p>Since August 2014, students who left key stage 4 without a GCSE grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and/or maths were required to continue studying these subjects as part of their 16-19 study programme. From August 2019, students starting a new or continuing an existing study programme with a GCSE grade 2 (or equivalent) or below can study towards a pass in Functional Skills level 2 or they can still study towards a GCSE grade 4 to 9. Those with a grade 3 (or equivalent) must still study GCSE only. Providers have the freedom to determine when a student is ready to re-sit or take an examination.</p><p>The department has not made estimates of the costs to providers or the number of full-time teachers required to deliver specific examinations. Rather, 16-19 education providers are funded for the overall study programmes that students take. These programmes include the provision of maths and English, where required. In 2015, we committed to maintaining the 16-19 funding base rate at current levels until 2020.</p><p>In addition to regular study programme funding of which maths and English provision is a part, we have made a number of commitments to improve the quality of teaching and learning in further education (FE) providers. Since 2013-14 we have invested over £140 million in FE teachers and leaders, including for workforce development through the independent Education and Training Foundation.
