	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2023 answer text <p>On 5 June 2023, the department wrote to the accountable officers at every higher education (HE) provider registered with the Office for Students, asking them to prioritise mental health at an executive level. 417 HE providers were registered at that time.</p><p>In this letter, a target was set for all universities to join the University Mental Health Charter Programme by September 2024. Providers who do not have degree-awarding powers are not eligible but can still follow the Charter’s principles. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2023 answer text <p>The Department does not collect data on the number or proportion of children who have attended live theatre by the end of primary and secondary education.</p><p> </p><p>Arts subjects, including drama, are an important part of a pupil’s school experience, with drama forming part of the National Curriculum for English.</p><p> </p><p>As set out in the programmes of study for Key Stages 1 to 3, pupils should gain knowledge, skills and understanding of the artistic practice of drama and should be able to adopt, create and sustain a range of roles. They should also have opportunities to improvise, devise and script drama for one another and a range of audiences, as well as to rehearse, refine, share and respond thoughtfully to drama and theatre performances. Teachers will use their professional judgement as to how and when such opportunities are created.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, all pupils taking GCSE drama or an A level in drama and theatre studies are entitled to experience live theatre. This entitlement reaffirms the Government’s commitment to providing pupils with an enriching arts education. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/11/2023 answer text <p>The Department provides comprehensive guidance for overseas qualified teachers about teaching in England, including the requirements and support available, through the Get Into Teaching website.</p><p>Since February 2023, highly qualified teachers with qualifications from an increased number of countries and regions have been able to use the Department’s new digital service, Apply for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England, to apply for QTS. QTS is a legal requirement to teach in many English schools and is considered desirable for teachers in the majority of schools in England.</p><p>The Department is piloting the international relocation payment (IRP). This is a small scale pilot offering a single one off payment of £10,000 to non-UK trainees and teachers of languages and physics in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 academic years. The payment is a contribution towards the costs they face in moving to England to teach or train, which include visas, the immigration health surcharge and other relocation expenses. The payment is only payable once someone has started their job or training course in England.</p><p>Overseas qualified teachers with QTS are also eligible for support through the Department’s Return to Teaching advisor service. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/11/2023 answer text <p>The government consulted on whether there was a case, in principle, for a Minimum Eligibility Requirement for access to student finance for degree-level study. In the Higher Education (HE) Reform policy statement of 17 July, the department made an announcement to not proceed with such a requirement at this time.</p><p>The government is delivering on its manifesto commitment to drive up quality and tackle pockets of poor provision in the HE sector. As universities and landlords are private and autonomous bodies the government has no role in the provision of student accommodation, nor a remit to intervene in how it is allocated.</p><p>The department expects universities and private landlords to review their accommodation policies to ensure that they are fair, clear, and have the interests of students at heart.
