star this property answer text <p>The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a 2017 manifesto commitment of this Government, to succeed European Structural Funding across the UK, following our departure from the European Union.</p><p>The UK Government recognises the importance of European Structural Funding programmes for the UK and its Overseas Territories and, given that Gibraltar has received this investment, the UK Government has an opportunity to consider whether the UK Shared Prosperity Fund could be a suitable programme to succeed European investment in Gibraltar.</p><p>As the Falkland Islands are not a recipient of European Structural Funds, the Falkland Islands are not in scope for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The UK Government is, however, considering several funding options for the Overseas Territories, following the UK’s departure from the European Union.</p><p>Further details will be announced as part of the comprehensive Spending Review.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>A number of developers and freeholders have already agreed to fund the costs of remediation and not pass these on to leaseholders. Following the announcement of the fund many of these have agreed to maintain their commitment. The owners or developers who have made these commitments include Taylor Wimpey, Legal and General, Mace Group, Lendlease, Barratt Developments and Aberdeen Standard Investments. We are continuing to engage with other buildings owners to secure further commitments to fund remediation without accessing the Government’s remediation fund.</p> more like this

The Prime Minister accepted that recommendation and announced Victoria Tower Gardens as the chosen location on 27 January 2016. star this property answer text <p>The UKHMF believed that the location close to Parliament of the Memorial and Learning Centre was an important statement about the importance of democracy as a protector against tyrants. Most of the important decisions relating to Britain’s reaction to the Holocaust were taken near the site. Consequently no other site came close to Victoria Tower Gardens in symbolism or significance. The Government agreed with the recommendation that Victoria Tower Gardens was the most fitting location.</p> more like this
