star this property answer text <p>The most recent statistics on apprenticeship starts by employer sector cover the 2020/21 academic year and are published here: <a href="https://explore-education-statistics.service.gov.uk/find-statistics/apprenticeships-in-england-by-industry-characteristics" target="_blank">https://explore-education-statistics.service.gov.uk/find-statistics/apprenticeships-in-england-by-industry-characteristics</a>.</p><p>Data for 2021/22 and 2022/23 will be published in June 2024 and June 2025, respectively.</p><p>Apprenticeship starts within the ‘Construction, Planning and the Built Environment’ sector subject area are available for the 2021/22 academic year and can be found at: <a href="https://explore-education-statistics.service.gov.uk/find-statistics/apprenticeships-and-traineeships/2021-22#content-7-heading" target="_blank">https://explore-education-statistics.service.gov.uk/find-statistics/apprenticeships-and-traineeships/2021-22#content-7-heading</a>.</p><p>There is also provisional data for August to April of the 2022/23 academic year, which can be found here: <a href="https://explore-education-statistics.service.gov.uk/find-statistics/apprenticeships-and-traineeships/2022-23" target="_blank">https://explore-education-statistics.service.gov.uk/find-statistics/apprenticeships-and-traineeships/2022-23</a>.</p><p>Full year data will be published on 30 November 2023.</p>

star this property answer text <p>The most recent statistics on apprenticeships starts by industry sector cover the academic years 2012/13 to 2016/17 and are published on GOV.UK:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/apprenticeships-in-england-by-industry-characteristics" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/apprenticeships-in-england-by-industry-characteristics</a>.</p><p>In 2016/17 there were:</p><ul><li>36,170 starts in the manufacturing sector;</li><li>1,620 starts in the energy sector; and</li><li>31,610 starts in the construction sector.</li></ul><p>Statistics for 2017/18 are due to be published in October 2019.</p> more like this
