	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/11/2020 answer text <p>We have worked extensively with Public Health England (PHE) to provide Operating Principles for the sector, to help them open shelters as safely as possible where necessary, when self-contained accommodation can’t be made available and when local partners agree that it’s the right thing to do. PHE were closely involved in the production of the Operating Principles and offered advice as part of our Night Shelter Working Group. .</p><p>The Operating Principles are part of a wider package. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/12/2020 answer text <p>We are working with the Law Commission to make buying a freehold or extending a lease easier, quicker and cheaper, and to reinvigorate Commonhold to provide consumers with a choice of tenure, and to reform the Right to Manage to help empower those that wish to, to take on management responsibilities for their properties.</p><p>In January this year the Law Commission published their first of four reports, on the valuation aspects of enfranchisement, followed on 21 July by their further three reports on the remaining aspects of enfranchisement, Commonhold, and Right to Manage. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/06/2019 answer text <p>We are committed to taking robust enforcement action to ensure that everyone who is entitled to the National Minimum or Living Wage receives it.</p><p> </p><p>We have more than doubled the budget for minimum wage compliance and enforcement since 2015; it is now at a record high of £27.4 million.</p><p> </p><p>To clarify, since 1999, minimum wage arrears worth over £118 million have been paid to 835,000 workers. April 2019’s increase to the NLW will see nearly 1.8 million workers in the UK receive a 4.9% pay rise. A full-time worker on the NLW will now be more than £2,750 better off over the year compared to when it was first announced in 2015.</p><p> </p><p>The table below provides estimates for the number and proportion of jobs in the UK and Yorkshire and the Humber on the NLW and NMW in 2019. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/10/2019 answer text <p>Through the National Living Wage (NLW) and National Minimum Wage (NMW) the Government helps to protect the lowest paid in society. In April, the Government increased the NLW by 4.9% to £8.21. This means that a full-time worker on the NLW will be £2,750 better off over the course of a year, compared to when the policy was first introduced.</p><p> </p><p>Employers are required by law to ensure that all workers due the NMW or NLW receive it. The Government takes tough action against the minority of employers who underpay the NMW. In order to improve fairness for workers, we have committed to introduce legislation to ensure that tips left to workers will go to them in full.</p><p>We expect over a million workers to benefit from new rules on tips, many of whom are in low-paid jobs.
