The bulk of the above support is from the Renewables Obligation. Going forward, we expect the average subsidy payment figures to fall as more projects are supported under the competitive Contracts for Difference scheme*.</p><p>(2) Includes payments to domestic and community FIT schemes for onshore wind.</p><p>(3) Spend is in real terms.</p><p>For the Renewables Obligation, the full value of support is made up of a main payment and a much smaller subsidiary payment. As the value of the subsidiary payment is not yet known for any of the years, the above figures include only the main payment.</p><p>Data for April 2019 onwards are not yet available.</p><p><em>*The results of the third Contracts for Difference auction were announced on 20 September 2019. 12 new renewable electricity projects were awarded CfDs (6 offshore wind, 4 Remote Island Wind and two Advanced Conversion Technology projects), adding around 6GW of new clean electricity to the grid from 2023. The costs of offshore wind have come down by around two thirds since the first allocation round in 2015, with projects now being delivered for as little as £39.65/MWh. This is the first time that renewables are expected to come online below market prices.</em></p>

star this property answer text <p>The Government has expanded the Warm Home Discount scheme this year, providing the £150 rebate to over 3 million households, an increase of 800,000.</p><p> </p><p>Energy suppliers can also provide additional support to households through the Industry Initiatives portion of the scheme, through measures such as financial assistance, debt write-off, benefit entitlement checks, energy advice and energy efficiency. This support can be provided to households, irrespective of whether they are eligible for a rebate.</p><p> </p><p>The scheme comes on top of additional support the Government is providing this winter and next winter, including through the Energy Price Guarantee and Cost of Living Payments.</p> more like this

The sector, through its skills body OPITO, is developing an integrated People and Skills Plan to support mutual recognition of workforce skills and competencies across energy sectors, which is due to be published in the coming months.</p><p> </p><p>The Offshore Wind Sector Deal also includes actions to develop an Offshore Energy Passport to accredit offshore workers and facilitate job-mobility between offshore renewable and extractive industries; the Offshore Wind Industry Council produces a quarterly People and Skills Bulletin to provide an update on activities.</p><p> </p><p>Specific training requirements fall within the remit of skills standards and training certifying bodies.</p><p> </p><p>The Energy Skills Alliance (ESA) is chaired by OPITO, with information on the ESA and its membership published on the OPITO website.</p>

star this property answer text <p>The North Sea Transition Deal underpins the Government’s partnership with the offshore oil and gas sector, to achieve a managed energy transition which leaves no-one behind. The sector, through its skills body OPITO, is developing an integrated People and Skills Plan to support mutual recognition of workforce skills and competencies across energy sectors, which is due to be published in the coming months.</p><p> </p><p>The Offshore Wind Sector Deal also includes actions to develop an Offshore Energy Passport to accredit offshore workers and facilitate job-mobility between offshore renewable and extractive industries; the Offshore Wind Industry Council produces a quarterly People and Skills Bulletin to provide an update on activities.</p><p> </p><p>Specific training requirements fall within the remit of skills standards and training certifying bodies.</p><p> </p><p>The Energy Skills Alliance (ESA) is chaired by OPITO, with information on the ESA and its membership published on the OPITO website.</p>
