unstar this property answer text <p>HM Treasury has already allocated over £4.2 billion of additional funding to departments and the devolved administrations for EU exit preparations so far. This includes the £1.5 billion of additional funding HM Treasury announced at Autumn Budget 2017 for 2018/19. unstar this property answer text <p>The Government has a duty to inform citizens and businesses about how leaving the EU might affect them, and to advise on the steps they may need to take to prepare for EU Exit. A cross-departmental public information campaign has been developed to help achieve this.</p><p> </p><p>Over the coming weeks, my colleagues in other departments will be using a range of channels to direct UK citizens, businesses, EU citizens living in the UK and UK nationals living in the EU to dedicated web pages at gov.uk/euexit.</p><p> </p><p>Information on the costs associated with this campaign will be released in due course as part of normal data transparency releases.</p><p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The Northern Ireland Office (NIO) has not made any estimates of the amount of funding Northern Ireland has received from European Union grants, or loans from the European Investment Bank since 1998.</p><p> </p><p>The information requested is not held by the NIO and gathering the information could not be provided without incurring disproportionate costs. However in regard to loans received from the European Investment Bank (EIB), whilst a local figure for Northern Ireland is not recorded, the EIB does report loans provided across the United Kingdom. unstar this property answer text <p>Supporting efforts to promote peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland remains an important part of my Department’s work, though most of the responsibility for policy and delivery in these areas would normally fall to the devolved administration.</p><p> </p><p>The Government does, however, continue to make significant contributions. For example, I was pleased to announce earlier this month that around £300 million of UK Government funding will be committed to projects to support peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland between 2021 and 2027.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, we have provided substantial additional resources to ensure both Northern Ireland related terrorism and paramilitary activity are tackled effectively. We remain committed to the implementation of the Stormont House and Fresh Start Agreements and have consulted on how to best address Northern Ireland’s past and move forward.</p><p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Thanks to the UK Government’s responsible stewardship of the economy the country’s public finances are in a much stronger position since 2010. This means we have more money to invest in Northern Ireland’s future – including £320 million funding for Northern Ireland announced by the Chancellor in Budget.</p><p> </p><p>We are working closely with the Northern Ireland departments to ensure sustainable finances in Northern Ireland and to help rebalance the Northern Ireland economy. This work is paying off, with private sector jobs growing from 63% in 1992 to 73% in 2018, and are now at an all-time high.</p> more like this
