NHS England has published service specifications for the neurological care of both children and adults which include exemplar service specifications for neuromuscular conditions. Friend the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care has commissioned Baroness Dido Harding working closely with Sir David Behan to lead a number of programmes to engage with key NHS interests to develop a detailed workforce implementation plan. UK and French ministers have spoken about the issue of Channel crossings on a number of occasions, and senior level engagement is ongoing to develop a joint approach to the issue. The Home Secretary is due to meet his French counterpart in the coming weeks.
