Details of every building identified as having unsafe Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) cladding systems are provided to the relevant local authority and fire and rescue service, and every building is visited by the local fire and rescue service to ensure appropriate safety measures are put in place. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/02/2019 answer text <p>Through our Industrial Strategy we continue to take actions to support manufacturing businesses in Hendon and across the country.</p><p> </p><p>We are working closely with industry to secure a strong future for UK manufacturers through major new investment in research, as part of our commitment to increase total R&amp;D investment to 2.4% of GDP by 2027. We have so far allocated £1.7 billion through Waves 1 and 2 of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, bringing together world class UK research with business investment to develop the technologies and industries of the future. We are working with industry on proposals for a future third wave. We have allocated £70 million of grant funding to projects in London under the ISCF to date. Of this figure, £537,812 was allocated to the constituency of Hendon to support innovation in the healthcare sector.</p><p> </p><p>At Autumn Budget we announced up to £121 million of funding, subject to business case approval and industry co-investment, for the Manufacturing Made Smarter Challenge. This will exploit the opportunities highlighted in the Made Smarter Review, which identifies significant benefits to the UK from integrating digital technology into manufacturing through a strong partnership between Government and industry. We also announced up to £66m for the Transforming Foundation Industries Challenge at COP24 in December 2018, subject to business case and industry co-investment. This Challenge aims to transform the UK’s foundation industries (glass, steel, cement, ceramics, chemicals) to make them internationally competitive, securing more jobs and greater sector growth by 2025.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, we are working in partnership with London to develop its Local Industrial Strategy, as part of our aim to create prosperous communities across the country. The recent Resources and Waste Strategy announced that the government would improve recycling rates by ensuring a consistent set of dry recyclable materials is collected from all households and businesses and that every householder and appropriate businesses have a weekly separate food waste collection. For packaging waste, we will invoke the ‘polluter pays’ principle and extended producer responsibility for packaging, ensuring that producers pay the full net costs of managing packaging waste at end of life. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/03/2019 answer text <p>The control and enforcement of fisheries legislation in UK waters is a devolved matter and each Devolved Administration is responsible for control and enforcement in their waters.</p><p> </p><p>Legislation (Council Regulation (EC) No. 1224/2009) is in place that requires masters of a fishing vessel using passive gear or beam trawls to mark their fishing gear. Masters must mark certain nets, lines, pots and beam trawls, with the port letter and number of their vessel. Marker buoys must also be attached. This will make sure all vessels are able to clearly identify fishing gear and prevent instances of gear conflict. The Marine Management Organisation has been involved with some joint working (with Maritime and Coastguard Agency, National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisation and Royal Yachting Association) on reviewing marking of fishing gear for safety at sea purposes.</p><p> </p><p>For all types of fishing gear, masters of a fishing vessel must attempt to retrieve any lost gear. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/03/2019 answer text <p>The Home Office chairs a Social Media Action Group which brings together Government, social media companies, police and community groups to discuss and take action against violence related content online.</p><p>We are also providing £1.4m to support a new national police capability to tackle gang related activity on social media. The new social media hub will be established within MPS, transforming the current capability and will take action against online material, focusing on investigative, disruption and enforcement work against specific gang targets, as well as making referrals to social media companies so illegal and harmful content can be taken down. It will be fully operational this spring.</p><p>We recognise though that more needs to be done to tackle online harms and we are committed to further legislation. A joint DCMS-Home Office White Paper will be published shortly.
