It’s not surprising that they should try to influence the UK to further their own agendas. There is no evidence of successful interference, but the UK is not complacent to this threat. No grants to towns and cities have been made since 2014</p><p>Details of the applications are not disclosed to protect their confidentiality, however the<br>number of applications received by the Cabinet Office for all protected titles including<br>those containing the word ‘Royal’, was 906 in 2018. The Cabinet Office objected to 107 of<br>these, issued a non-objection to 703 and approved 14. So far, 3 have returned.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>EU Exit is an all-of-government operation. The Department for Exiting the European Union is responsible for overseeing negotiations to leave the EU and establishing the future relationship between the UK and EU. The Department for International Trade works to secure UK and global prosperity by promoting and financing international trade and investment, and championing free trade.</p><p> </p><p>Departments continually review workforce plans, reprioritise and assess changing needs, which includes identification and cessation of non-priority work where appropriate.
