star this property answer text <p>The Urban Connected Communities (UCC) Project, part of the Government’s 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme, is a research and innovation project to trial new 5G technology, services and applications for the public sector, industry and citizens.</p><p> </p><p>The Department will make £25 million of funding available over three years, subject to business case approval, for projects within UCC matched with investment from the local public sector and private sector. There is potential for the Department to make available up to an additional £25m over the same time period.</p><p> </p><p>The project is in a mobilisation stage of work, which the Department is co-funding with the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). To date, the Department has approved grants of £500K to WMCA, of which £168,600 has been drawn down, WMCA has matched this.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Data on the number of abortions declined as a result of a suspicion of coercion is not collected centrally.</p><p> </p><p>The Department has no current plans to commission a review of reproductive coercion.</p><p> </p><p>The Department takes this issue very seriously. The Department’s required standard operating procedures (RSOPs) for independent sector abortion providers and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists clinical guideline on the Care of Women Requesting Induced Abortion, specify that careful and sensitive enquiry as to the reasons for requesting an abortion should be made, with the opportunity for further discussion, especially where women express any doubts or there may be a suggestion of pressure or coercion. The Care Quality Commission inspects independent sector abortion providers against all of the Department’s RSOPs including looking at the procedures and policies services have in place to ensure that all women and young persons are seeking abortion voluntarily.</p>

star this property answer text <p>Our latest records show that no academy trust has gone into administration. Where there is a risk to public funds, the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) will intervene in a proportionate manner to avoid financial issues affecting school provision.</p><p> </p><p>The ESFA has a robust intervention strategy to support an academy trust, which is a company limited by guarantee and subject to company law, to reach a stronger financial position. Intervention actions range from supporting and building trust capacity through to issuing a Financial Notice to Improve, or in the most serious cases, terminating a funding agreement, after schools have been transferred to another trust.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Public Health England (PHE) has developed a programme to support national and local government to reduce the burden of disease attributable to air pollution. This includes awareness raising, developing the evidence base on the health effects of air pollution and interventions aiming to reduce exposure to air pollution and provide wider public health benefits.</p><p> </p><p>PHE undertakes various air quality research projects, working with academic partners, to review the evidence for the health effects of air pollutants. PHE is a partner in two health protection research units (HPRU) funded by the National Institute for Health Research, whose remit includes air pollution research: The Health impact of Environmental Hazards HPRU and the HPRU in Environmental Change and Health. star this property answer text <p>Defra published a Clean Air Strategy in January, which set out our plans to reduce emissions of particles under 2.5 µm in diameter, known as fine particulate matter (PM<sub>2.5</sub>).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The 2016 emissions inventory indicates that 38% of PM<sub>2.5</sub> emissions come from domestic combustion, and 12% come from industrial sources. Therefore, we have developed policies to tackle these sectors, including phasing out the sale of wet wood and traditional, smoky house coal, only allowing the cleanest fuels for sale. We will also phase out the dirtiest stoves, only allowing the cleanest stoves which meet the Ecodesign standard. We are also working with industry to develop industrial roadmaps to drive long-term improvement in this sector.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We will be publishing our National Air Pollution Control Programme by the end of March 2019, which will set out our analysis for these policies in greater detail.</p><p> </p> more like this
