unstar this property answer text <p>The Treasure Act 1996 (the Act) and the accompanying Codes of Practice were last fully reviewed in 2001. Many of the recommendations in that review, such as the creation of a Treasure Registry at the British Museum were implemented, and have contributed to the continuing success of the treasure process. The process is under constant review and this, along with outstanding recommendations from 2001, will be reflected in proposals to be set out in the forthcoming public consultation on the Act and the Codes of Practice.</p> more like this

The last revised code was published in 2007, and the code is currently under review.
